Why are we always getting the same dude on demos and trailers? and why didnt Todd mention (Ever) we can choose which race we want to play as? Its scaring me like hell! (he once said something like "we still have the same 10 races" but he never said we get to choose who we start as).

Only uespwiki confirms we get to choose between the 10 races... but i dont know, they got that info from where? and its the same info all over the past year... I think its not up to date.

Can anyone show me an official "we can choose between all the 10 races" ?

I don't know if it's been officially stated anywhere that all 10 races will playable, but then again, I don't think it's ever been a concern that they won't be. I don't think Bethesda is stupid enough to pull a Dragon Age 2 on us here.

It's already been confirmed you can do that. I think Todd had a lot more he wanted to say but the guy kept trying to interview him instead of letting him talk about what was on the demo. He cut away at the very end for tweets from that woman and the big dragon fight wasn't even over. I wonder what Todd might have said there?

10 races selectable was confirmed early on, they just do not want to ruin what they look like - makes it more fun

But the Elder Scrolls series is built on things like choosing different races. The fans usually ask for MORE races. They know it's part of what the fans enjoy and that no one would enjoy a single playable race.

OMG he didnt mention anything about buying or selling goods... or about fast travel... or if you can save the game... holy crap there will be no mercantile system.... we will have to walk everywhere ... we are going to either have to sit there for 300+ hrs straight and not die just to beat the game and if we die were going to have to start all over again!!!!!!

(he didn say something about it though cuz the guy asked him is this dovakiin (sp?) and todd said this is our character we already created this is my dovakiin.... basically saying this is the guy we already made and we dont want to show you too much about character designs so we are going to keep showing you the same character but you can make him whoever you want...)

Theres as likely chance of there being no race choice than todd howard looking uncool. I mean damn, look at his hair and his shave, dat sh*t's WACK bro.

Not to mention there were occassionally people asking if you can play as a female character, so I'm glad Bethesda got that concern out of the way. In any case, a quote has already been posted confirming that you get to choose race at the start of the game, so unless everyone at Bethesda went crazy and decided that people didn't want to be able to play as different races and changed that since then, I'd say we have nothing to worry about in this regard.

This, at least, is one regard where Bethesda never gave us reason to doubt them, in fact, the last time they considered reducing the amount of playable races in the series (They originally did not intend for Khajiit and Argonians to be playable in Morrowind.) there was a strong backlash against it, and they quickly changed their mind, so I think Bethesda knows that removing race options is not what people want.
