Most other games store your single player information on the hard-drive (Call of Duty, Halo, etc) so when you recover to another console it shows 0% completion on these parts but the online section is retained (Rank, Create-a-Class, unlocks, etc). I recovered my profile a few days ago on my upstairs XBox (have two in my house) and I noticed that the Crysis 2 stats weren't fully transferred. I did keep my rank, dog tags, etc. however all my Create-A-Class were wiped (although I still had all my unlocks, I just had to go rebuild all of them). Recovering to my downstairs XBox later in the day it kept the same Create-A-Class that was on the XBox already, not the newly created upstairs classes.
Because this was within the last patch period, I would think that it uses the same system to do online backup for mine as it did for you. In which case I believe it may be an issue with the online backup server that handles XBox Live online statistics. I know yesterday it was not saving progress that was achieved in multi (for example, if you got 200 kills while playing and turned off your XBox and turned it back on, those 200 kills would be gone). This could be related to a similar issue if the online backup server is still having issues. Crysis 2 *should* have online backup, at least for the multiplayer portion, as it did not that long ago under the same current patch.
