I just got on Ventrillo with Geronimo and basically told me that he banned me because I didn't respond to in game chats ( which I don't recall seeing ) and the fact that he was trying to tell me to stop using a scar + laser. He then went on to tell me that if I wanted to play on his servers then I would have to play without lasers. I asked how this would be fair when other DDD players not to mention all kinds of other non DDD players use lasers and said it would be fair because he said so, in his words "because I said so" [sic] . I'm going to go ahead with a ban appeal with his hosting provider.

And he is banning someone, me, who has a .8 K/D just because he's pissed off at me personally. Make your own judgments.

I think someone should start a petition against him...

Good servers are good for the community. But don't think about your server as an alternative to anything, just do a good job administering it.

At least half the people who regularly visit this forum (especially veterans) are banned from DDD servers. Simply accept the fact that Geronimo has decided to ban you and play somewhere else. Reasons don't matter, they can be whatever he wants them to be at that time.

DDD members (and potentially ex-DDD members) are exempt from server rules. Also Geronimo basically jerks-off to the countless ban appeals he receives every week (it's his entertainment), so I wouldn't really recommend giving him even more fapping material.

If you're really serious about your ban appeal, he accepts "donations" of $100-200 towards his servers and that will get you unbanned immediately and maybe keep you safe from future bans.

May I ask who is "NOT BANNED" on one of DDD servers??? , and yes no reason, just because you're good ...... We don't need to stop playing there as "DDD NICE ADMIN" will be left alone playing for the number of banned players on his server at the end ... DDD admin whoever you are, continue your arrogant, rage banning m8 , good job , you're a nice person .....

Hum... I think i will be less popular after this, but here what i understand about DDD servers and their admin Geronimo :


I think he wants that his servers must be the place where 80 or 90% players "standard" can come play and have fun cause their have " a possibility" to make a good game, good scores, having fun and not killed every 5 seconds by an "unfair player" coming there just to kill all newbies instead playing the objective.
He don't want a pro, good/high level player coming and making deliberately a real carnage with their pro ability, unblocked load out and expérience and no play the objective, just kill for high k/d in this area with newbies present.
Many newbies were killed by this way with the risk they stop playing this game -(
I don't say that there are only newbies on DDD servers. Good are presents too !

He don't want to have the most popular servers from pro or good players. No.
He want have the servers where players can have fun by being fair and show the way to the newbies coming in match. A friendly server so ! Not a pro and hardcoe server.

But you can be a good, pro gamer and playing ln these servers. It's possible. There are, sure. I play often with them. Some are DDD members like FER or TEEDONKEY or CYLONSAMONGUS.
And they have fun on their servers just cause they play objective and not aim high k/d but practice the game by respecting the objective for exemple.

I have played many times on them and i saw many good players, regular and was nice. Nice cause DDD try to keep safe these servers from OP weapons like rhinos, bows or pole. They try to keep safe from all serials killers frag farming to objective match. Try keep safe from cheaters, glitchers.
No annoying behavior like camper.

So now, when i will go play on DDD, i stop often maneuvrabilty, i stop laser, play the feline and always play the objective, like we have ALL to do every Objective march starts -)
And it's fun too -)

We are many had an experience with his servers and ban issue ^^
Myself, long time ago, i was temp banned for breaking rules -(

But with so many servers in this game and so many players on them, he had to enforce the rules to keep safe the original gameplay's Crytek.
I can understand this cause i try to do good work too on the 3 servers i admin...


But i think they could be another option !
Today there should be a place for the 10-15% high level Crysis players where they will play hard and only with others good players.

I'm wondering about creating a 4th kind of server
Only pro, good players allowed on it !
Server will be unranked for custom settings like :
-no alien weapons (bb pinger !)
-only 1 weapon same for everybody changing each day ! 1 day, scar for all, next day feline, next day pole for all !! Can be fun !
-votekick disabled...
-100% TDM match...

I can make it. If many people interesting and share ideas for custom settings.


It will be exist only 1 rule : The high level's players rules !

Fragman have a point a good 1.
I play on DDD since C2 and never get a ban (i argue with Geronimo 2 times). Yes i was votekicked , kicked for hy ping but never banned. The big problem with the Pro players in this game is that they want to play everywhere with their own Pro rules
DDD keep a base of medium low players and you can find there only a few vet's but me personaly i never see them overdo. A similar statement have TCI servers too (only CvsR ). We don't ban unless a player overdo alweis , exagerate and never give a chance to others. U have to agree guys that a experienced skilled player in crysis world will be alweis OP in comparation with the others. And if there are 2,3 player like this and they team up the match go to hell. We , TCI don't have nothing against a Pro player but after 2,3,4 match u raqe around everybody calm down for god sake. Let the other play some match too and after a small breacke u can restart to give the best of youre self. It's bad to see players leaving the servers becouse there are 2 players who don't want to ruin their K/D and the only conclusion from a admin is to kick/ban those players (some HNT can confirm this).

Fragman give a good ideea with a Pro players rule server but i don't think will happen becouse many of this "pro" don't like to play vs other pro and they prefere to farm newbies , is more usefull for their K/D and their leaderboard. I now personaly some of this Pro (banned from DDD+TCI) and the funny thing is that when u find them on some server they alweis team up so they don't play against each others but have a major possibility to farm noobs ...

I dont like being asked to slow down when im in a good mood, but im not playing this game anymore so.. who cares ?

Possible but i keep thinking there are something to do.

Pro gamers have a big problem :
they are often votekicked, called cheaters or insulted by "low level players" who can not understand a guy can do these high scores.

So, like a guy driving too fast his car on public road and see police to arrest them (apparent to votekick ^^) he is frustrated ! What a good and big road and i can't go speed on it ??!

The idea :
-Guys who drive their car so fast can have fun on a private circuit where they will be allowed to drive to 300km/h if they want
So, in game, pro-gamers will play in a private server where no votekick for them (no police !)

-in the circuit all drivers fight for the 1st place and try beat others players
Same thing on a private server.
And no possibility to affect their k/d ratio cause server will be unranked -)

-it will be just a place for all pro gamers who can meet others pros in absolute security cause no ranked, no VT, no newbies calling them cheaters. They will compare their own gameplay -)

-a server for fun with only 1rule : frag and frag and frag. Only TDM/TIA match.

-I should start a vote in this forum to choose the "day weapon for all" and force this weapon to the server for all players.
This way all gamers will fight with balance weapon cause same.

-and next day new weapon for all after vote on forum.

-server will allowed squad, so why not scrim clan or mix squad ?
I can limit server to 4vs4 and why not limit 8vs8 with own mix squad ?!!

I think pro gamers want to know if there are better than the other pro gamers they know on rank top 50 players crysis 3.
In this server, all players will be able to check it and just for fun cause unranked.

And while, newbies on "standart" servers are protected !! Fast drivers are (temporary) on a private circuit

There have been some pro-oriented servers, but I don't know if they are still active (I'm in the noob side of the game).

I see some players could like to have a server for when they want a challenge, but having forced weapons can be a problem, unless it's for some special event.

Not really a bad idea, forced weapons makes skill matter the most, and can be good. But I wouldn't put that in the default server configuration, only at special moments.

We have a forced mode, Frenzy on DLC. Thanks Crytek for screwing that up........

Any room for people who aren't "pro" but neither are they "newbie" - like me?

Usually I get destroyed by scar/swarmer spammers and I accept my defeat, I just can't compete against those loadouts.
But occasionally I have a good day with some nice streaks and ooooh boy the votekicks and hackusations just start raining in like there's no tomorrow, and in DDD's case server bans lol.
