I don't insult to get my point across it's mako as a uncanny annoyance ability .And fnv did the post apocalyptic thing poorly the strip never got touched yet a corner of the tops has went for a unheard of reason parks have a more post apocalyptic vibe than fonv it doesn't deserve to be called post apocalyptic.

Yes it does, in a sense. There is ghouls, mutants, some radiation. This is TWO HUNDRED years after the war. Fallout 1 had no green tint, it did not have radiation everywhere, and did not have combat at every corner, but is the best post-apocalyptic game ever made.

FNV is not post-apocalyptic, but post-post apocalyptic.

The first time I met House and said "Why the VIP treatment? I'm just a courier..." and he replies "Don't be coy..." etc., I was thinking 'No, really. When your original plan went pear shaped, why didn't you just leave me in the grave and hire a professional to retrieve the chip from Benny?'

Me too! My qualifications for being the hinge on which essentially every faction's plans pivot seem to be that I can survive a bullet in the head, and I can follow a road for several pretty peaceful miles. Oh, and that I can rustle up the entry fee for the strip. I've already displayed my incompetence as a courier by losing the platinum chip to Benny, and yet I'm the guy House invites into his special clubhouse? I wasn't at all convinced.

Ghouls are virtuallyimpossible to find there indangerd and fo3 was bombarded with nukes radiation doesn't stay for some brunch it can be there for thousands of years and fo1 being the best post apocalyptic game is debatable.

I was, Mr. House and the others saw something in you. Mr. House played the odds, and found you. You had a personal thing with Benny, so Mr. House wanted to use you to get the chip, works for me.

But, it is better than FO3. Why in the hell did Eden give YOU the FEV vial? Why not use some crazy machine to put it into the air? Why not release it into the air? Why use the water? IT does not make any sense.

No, Ghouls are not 'impossible' to find, they are not indangered; Supermutants are.

In the first Fallout, L.A. was hit with the same amount of nuclear bombs as D.C., there were skeletons of the buildings that once stood, but there was NO radiation remaining.
You also cannot debate the fact of Fallout being the best 'Fallout' game as it started the franchise.

EDIT: Jamie, there is no such thing as a 'water balloon' nuke.

fo1 being the best post apocalyptic game is debatable.

But it is the best Fallout game, and it's version of post-apocalyptic takes precedence over Fallout 3 version of "post-apocalyptic". I am not going to respond to your former post, because it was only more insult.

No, that was normal wear and tear, not a nuke. If a nuke hit the strip, it would be gone off the face of the earth.

None hit the strip or the city of Vegas. The six hit the Mojave, but not Las Vegas itself.

They it outside of the city itself, there are only five that actually exploded, and the others were nowhere near the city.

But what did they see in me? I suppose that I'm hard to kill, but beyond that? For my money, House doesn't test my capabilities nor my loyalty enough before he sets me to work. Same for Caesar.

Where did I mention FO3? Why does it always come back to the same face-eatingly dull 'versus' chest-beating? Bo-o-oring. I'm just talking about NV here.

...Actually, House tests your capabilities by having Victor follow you and observe. Hence why you run into Victor in Novac and Boulder City. Caesar needs you because you're the only one who can get to House. Your loyalty and capability doesn't factor into it; he's gambling on fear of the legion being enough to keep you in line.

House doesn't test your loyalty, but he doesn't exactly give you any major tasks or tell you about his plans until you're already pretty far in with him.

Mr. House saw someone he could use. Benny was essentially House's representative, and when he betrayed house by stealing the platinum chip: he had noone to use. The Courier seemed to him easy to persuade. Benny shot him in the head and he assumed he could us that to his advantage. So he invites the courier to the Lucky 38, which NEVER happens. Nobody goes in the Lucky 38 (except for Benny, but that changed). See how that could draw interest?

Lest I stray into giving too much away for GD:

Spoiler

But Victor may well observe me doing nothing more taxing than killing a few Vipers, reading a computer screen in Manny's apartment and having a little chat with Jessup. I know this is the argument that House uses (iirc anyway), that getting to the Strip is test enough of your abilities, but it really doesn't seem it. The route you take to Vegas can be pretty sedate, unless you go out of your way to look for trouble.

I don't know, I just wasn't convinced that I was deserving of the honour House was bestowing on me in letting me in the Lucky 38. I'm just another merc, and a pretty lousy courier to boot.

Right, and I'm the only one who can get to House because I've... vaguely impressed him... somehow. I find it all quite contrived. (Same with Caesar and the bunker, but that's another story.)
