I'm getting the collector's edition one for christmas. I kinda don't want anything from the game spoiled for me if i look through the guide, and i know if it's sitting in front of me i'm gonna want to look for all the little secrets and whatnot which are more fun to discover through playing and be surprised. But if i get it at christmas it gives me time to play the game and explore it, and when i get the guide it's more just to actually HAVE if i need it more than anything, but still im going with that ever so pretty collector's edition, lol.

Yeah, probably won't use it all that much. I have the New Vegas guide but mostly just used the Wikia, it's just fun/nice/interesting to have a big glossy book to go along with the game really.

yes, but just the collector's edition as a keepsake. It won't be looked at until the game is completed.

Don't see the point, if i really must spoil something for myself, what's in these guides that can't be found on the internet or asking other people?
Is it just to collect as much swag related to the game or what? Could understand that.

So what will everyone be doing me personally i know if i buy the guide ill use it way to much and it will ruin the game. So what is everyone doing

It depends on the price, the good thing about the guide is there is no incorect info (happens sometimes with wikis)..

also for me i NEVER use guides/wikis to get through quest.. i use them to figure out game mechanics, like wepons states, or in oblivion i used them when i became a vampire so i would know how it worked, i also used it (the wiki) for things like "how to make black soul gems" and stuff like that, nothing game breaking,

I always buy the guide.I love all the info in the beginning but I have to say I'm a little dissapointed in this one.The index is horrible.95% of the stuff I look up is not in there.I have to search the whole book to find it listed under something off the wall.I wind up looking online anyway and I play on PC so it's easier to look at a guide in front of you.
