Why? Who's asking? Who sent you?!

Was it the CIA? The KGB?!

I never use fast travel in any of Bethesda's games any more. Much more fun to travel on foot!

apparently too much fast travelling starts to disrupt space/time

and makes your body prone to pop...

I'm going to use fast travel, no way am I going to wade through half the map if my settlement is being attacked.

I refrain from using it until I have the entire map uncovered at which time I use it exclusively. I enjoy the exploration traveling by foot but after covering the area I have little to no reason to walk it repeatedly.

Much more tedious for fetch quests, too. Running in the same straight line can get boring.

Same for me, more or less. Though for many quests where I see myself just using the same path twice in a row, I'll FT back and forth. If I go out exploring, I'm typically doing exclusively that. Same for quests.

I will try to avoid using it, but I don't really think it will be that optional when it comes to defending the settlements. But I definitively think it takes away from the experience and immersion to use fast travel. You miss out on so much fun stuff on the way :) Fallout isn't about completing the quests, but enjoying the path there, at least for me :)

Unless I'm on a tedious back and forth quest, never.

I haven't used fast travel since Oblivion in 2006. I tried it twice and quickly decided I didn't like it. I've never used it again.

I will be using Fast Travel. I work, so when I get home, I am so tired. If it's a fetch mission and it's do this and come back, bloody hell right I am using fast travel since my playing time during the week is very well limited. I just want to play and unwind, not play and make it a chore. During the weekend, in most cases I will not use fast travel, since I can wander endlessly.

But when time is limited, yes fast travel will be used.

I'm guilty of it in 3/NV. Not this time, I'll definitely use the Mobile Van Base mod if implemented though.

When I load up my console I always decide beforehand my ibtentions.

If I'm exploring, then no fast travel.
If I want to go on an xp run, no
If I want to do missions, yes

Etc

I wont use fast travel as much as possible. I tried not using it in Skyrim, but too many mountains to go around, ended up using it, but could only fast travel to cities or settlements.

This time im gonna try not to ever use it.

I will use it my first play through. Maybe I'll do a "completionist" play through where I won't fast travel.

But I also have restartitis. So after my first play through I also will have a lot of fun jacking the difficulty all the way up and playing dead is dead. No fast travel in those situations.

If your settlement is being attacked and you run there you better hope you are close :)

I will use fast travel for this as well as if I have to backtrack to the same place 3+ times. Otherwise no fast travel for me the first playthrough.

Never, want to explore every corner of the wasteland and leave no stone unturned. :nope:

This. If the game is balanced around using fast travel then some sequences get tedious, but hopefully that won't be an issue and I can stroll about the wasteland at my leisure.

I will be trying not to, but every time I've tried a no fast travel play through in previous Beth games it eventually gets abandoned. Then again I have never tried it on a first play though of a Beth game before. We'll see what happens.

The government has spent 4.6 trillion of your tax dollars looking into this. Their conclusion is that fast travel is the primary cause of ghoulification.

It also causes hair to grow on the palms of your hands and you go blind.
