Whos never going to by a crytek or ea game again?

Post » Sun Jan 02, 2011 1:54 am

I know I'm going to get a bunch of "chill out" comments but this crysis 2 issue is really irritating (to say the least). I just want them to see how many people on the forums hate them now. Hopefully they will change the way they work in order to make money instead of do nothing and count our money.

The APB: Reloaded closed beta is running smoother for f***s sake & its only been in beta for like a month. Crytek has yet to say any official word on their forums or website that they know there is an issue and they are working on it other than in the Help & Support section.

So back to the poll. How many of us will never buy a game from these greedy people again?

I might still buy from Crytek and EA. But my support for them is diminishing, and I have to say I'm pretty disappointed with Crysis 2's physics, textures and tweaking.

-I've only bought select games from EA with good NONPAID reviews.
EA's cranking out **** and it's a miracle they're still in business.
Crysis 2 is still badass.

Solo tends to be only ok. I think those people that gave them the 90% are just fan boys that are getting hard ons by playing crysis 2. Enemies are emo and walk into corners and stay there. I'm just waiting for one to kill its self before i can get to it. Then there's how they hug corners in door ways even if there's a table in the way so they are on top of the table. Lastly there's how enemies spawn even if your in the same room as them. You can be in a one way room shooting out the door way only to get shot from behind.

As for gamespy. I think EA is the only company that uses gamespy aymore. You want to know why? GameSpy svcks!

I'm definitely not buying games @ launch from them again. I'll wait to see if the game is working first before I buy or just wait for a Steam deal. It's pretty sad that this is a precaution I have to take for big names like EA/Crytek.

If the MP has minor issues, I wouldn't mind it, but holy hell the MP right now on PC is downright broken.

I don't mind the fail MP right now, I only really play for the story and the the CryEngine 3 Sandbo- OH WAIT THERE ISN'T ONE -.-
Meh, the Single Player is subpar compared to what I was expecting (keep in mind that I'm a pessimist) and the lack of Sanbox/SDK was a slap in the face for modders...

I was expecting there to be some sort of limited Sandbox so that you had to buy a licence to unlock all the features... I never expected there to not be one at all.

I agree with you I will add Crytek / EA to my list of game publishers that I will not buy from at launch. I will wait a few months until the game runs fine, then buy at a reduced price. Unless of course the game in question delivers want is promised at launch time.

It's not just Crysis 2, there has been a steady decline in the quality of EA's games over the years. Dragon Age II was a HUGE disappointment, for example. Just not a good game, definitely not worth $59.99 for PC.
