I like how very very close that is to the arguments made during the civil rights movement. Courts even, said that although they were extremely similar, they were just different enough for whatever reason, and ruled that they were simply property, and had no rights that others had. Look up Dred Scott if you are curious.

I am not American, like most of the world, so might be a bit sketchy with the details, but the arguments were similar enough from what I can tell, and that was my point, not that the case and the civil rights movement were linked or anything. What I quoted, ie synths are not real people. Is extremely similar to arguments used before, ie. negros did not posess personhood.

It was not an argument, it was an observation. Simply standing up and making grand claims of what is and isn't really a person without giving any evidence and you risk looking just as bigoted, racist and hatefilled as the people claiming negros weren't really people in order to justify their enslavement. In my eyes at least.
