Argonians are no match for the dunmer!

The over-used, cliched piles of garbage you call Dunmer, are nothing compared to the all mighty and pure Altmer.

Argonians aren't awesome.

They are pondscum that should be kept down by the Dunmer race.

Ha...yea that's really working out for the Dunmer, eh?

lulz

On topic: I've never understood the Argonian fascination. My favorite is Altmer for magical abilities (and long lifespans & culture, if you count lore stuff).

At least someone has the right idea, Altmer are fricken awesome, intelligent, long living, attractive, and rich culture. It doesn't get better than that.

I've always liked Argonians, ever since Morrowind. Most of the Argonian NPCs make me smile (Big-Head, Dar-jee, Runs-in-Circles, Dar-ma), and their history is kinda neat.

Immune to base poisons and all diseases so no hassle finding cures or healing yourself when you get a slow damage. water breathing so dont have to fork out for potions or finding/buying spells. The game usually mentions something to do with a cool historic event to do with argonians such as the black marsh and in oblivion some quests related to argonians which changed some dialogue and made it more interesting for the player.

You forget that the Dunmer have been superior to the Argonians for thousands of years - and the Argonian only had a brief moment of luck as all the world's biggest disasters decided to strike Morrowind at once!

No matter, I foresee that the Dunmer will rise again and wipe some lizard butt.

I really don't know what makes them so awesome. Maybe some people find lizards attractive.

I'm not familiar with the detailed lore, but from playing Morrowind they give me the impression of being Aztec/Native American like beings. Not to mention how unique they are for a fantasy race, if you get a lizard choice it's usually some boring land dweller.

Who wants fried lizard? Bretons are more powerful than the argonians anyday they may not be that special but they pack a punch...

Imagine this

City-swimmer walks around a corner and up some stairs she walks into a bretons house at midnight BUT the breton has detect life and then conjures a daedric sword and slahes her then casts :flamethrower: "enemies explode" courtesy of Delphine Jend

what are you left with?

DINNER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Biological plague warfare. Argonians walk through the cities unharmed, I would like to see every citizen somehow cure the disease when it's all around them. With no citizens left the softer races will die from a lack of peasants to work the farms, eventually anarchy will set in. In walks the Argonians and they nom everyone. A hypothetical scenario.

Except none of the common diseases you can catch in Morrowind and Oblivion is fatal. They generally just drain 2 stats by 10 points and that's it. :P

Fair enough.

It seems that more people like Argonians than Khajiit (or are more outspoken about it), so I'm curious what sets the two apart? They are both races uncommon to the traditional fantasy genre. Although it would be useful to breath underwater...

Khajiit can see better at night. Also are cooler in general because lions/better than any lizard except dragons, which aren't argonians. :)

Although just saying.. all of this inferior furries and lizards need an imperial to tell them how to behave. Dunmer got what they deserve though..

I'm not referring to common diseases, but something from their own homeland that would be hard for outsiders to resist. They have to have some potent diseases there if most out in the wide world can't effect them.

In Morrowind Argonians were resistant to common disease but they had no resistance against blight disease.

And for the record, Altmer and Bosmer are both just as resistant to disease as Argonians.

Oh Totally! They're so cool that they lost Morrowind to and Argonian uprising.

Anyway, Skyrim Argonians will be a whole new level of awesome considering they can breathe fire.

It might be enjoyable to use the Argonian appearance to help imagine a physical link to the "dragon born" aspect of your character.

Personally I think Argonians belong in the swamps and a plaque in my pub. Believe it or not, I am not a Dunmer.
Khajiit don't make as lovely trophies, so they only belong in the skooma dens and in the desert.

But they are there to stay, so I'll just kick them when they're down.

Edit: Their names are pretty awesome, I'll give them that. Just makes for better trophies...
