Why are Argonians so awesome? : V - Skyrim

Because if you are being chased by an entire town you can just jump in the ocean swim to the bottom and watch the less evolved races drown.

Racially, the underwater breathing frees up the extra enchantment on your gear with a starting ability. Otherwise, I like them because they're more unique from the other races in my opinion. Depends on if you like cat men or lizard men when it comes down to it I guess.

So I'm planning on playing a Nordic warrior for my first play through of Skryim because of the setting. After that I was going to be a stealthy assassin Khajiit/Bosmer (haven't decided). However, a ton of the people on the forums seem to think no race comes close to Argonians. I don't really see the appeal, but I am more than willing to be convinced that they are indeed as awesome as you say, so convince me to play as one!

What makes them awesome? They way they look? Sound? Act? A racial attribute? An Argonian from the lore that was awesome? From past games? Are they just inherently awesome, cool by virtue of being Argonian? Some other reason?

They have tails, few games let you have characters with tails.
However Khajiit have tails to and are much better than the stupid lizards.

I don't think people really think that all other races are inferior to Argonians... I think a lot of people just love argonians because they're so unique, from the way they look, to their Black Marsh culture.

argonians have the best lore i think, they always get the most interesting names, and im not even gonna go into the way they look (but i will say its awosme)

I've typically chosen Argonian over anything else, as I never cared much for the designs of the Khajit in previous games. Also, I have a predisposed hatred of elves in all forms of media due to the way they are stereotypically portrayed...and if I wanted to be a human...I need go no further than real life.

You're basically playing as a humanoid dinosaur who can use magic, swords, bows, etc.

I identify myself with cold blooded deceivers and opportunists (Like the majestic snake).

I never really liked Cats, Orcs are ugly (By my standards), true Nords are supposed to be men (Not assassins or thieves), elves are too fruity (Even the evil ones) and I honestly see no major difference between Redguard and Imperial (They are both human right?)

My tough guy will probably be a Nord. My first guy (A la Eville) will be Argonian (Yessssssssssssssssss).

they are immune to poison highly resistant to disease they can breath underwater without the use of a spell or an enchantment and in skyrim since athletics is out they probably start out faster then the other races and can sprint longer. and they can look pretty scary if you make one right and they are good for mages and stealth characters and certainly good for warriors as well overall they are a pretty darn good race

the dunmer had it coming. the weakening of morrowind just made it quicker and easier and since the country was weakened we where able to ensure a lasting presence in morrowind just goes to show you cross the argonians and payback will come when you least suspect it

Most of the reasons are already on the first page: Look like dinosaurs, interesting lore, uniqueness...

I like to play a complete outsider that is frowned upon, but he still saves the day and gets respect in the end. A totally unlikely hero. In Morrowind for example it was funny to be an Argonian Nerevarine. :laugh: The Dunmer should have fainted.

I've always liked dinosaurs and lizards...I guess I watched too much Denver the last Dinosaur, Dinosaucers etc when I was a kid. :hehe:
