Why are Bretons old?

Post » Sun Jun 10, 2012 1:02 am

I only like to play female characters, I'm not sure why but I have done this with all games that let me choose. I have made a few characters and they all seem to be female Nord women because they are the prettiest. I want to make a female Breton but they all look old. They all have wrinkles on their forehead and I can't seem to make a pretty one. Has anybody had any luck? No mods. I'm on Xbox.

My Breton's old, but he's sixy.

As far as I recall there is no wrinkles or age slider in Skyrim. Perhaps give them a lighter skin tone and minimal amount of dirt.

Female Redguards don't have forehead wrinkles, and there's a few lighter skin tones to make your character look like a Breton if that's what you want.

The complexion slider is the closest thing you'll find to an age slider. Throw it all the way to the left, and your Bretons should be more fresh and baby-faced. :)

Dunmer, now they look old.

I liked Oblivion's age slider. All the way to the left, and you like your 18-20 years old (or perhaps 50-60 if you are an elf of some sort :P). All the way to the right, and you look ancient.

To me Betrons don't look old, they look worried. Very worried.

Every human race has the same basic character creation palette. If you can make a young looking Nord you can make a young looking Breton. Try again.

A Breton's forehead wrinkles help distinguish them from the Nords I think. Just like a male Nord's craggy chin distinguishes him from a Breton male.

Nope. http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/630730981978418724/2DB8F86FDCE249340253813F19B42B3EB52C92AC/ was the best I could ever do with the vanilla skins with my Breton mage. She certainly didn't look ancient, but not as young as I'd pictured the character, either. It's the wrinkles in the forehead and the lines around the mouth that do it.

At least since I'm on the PC I could drop a texture mod in to take care of that.
