Besides play on Master Difficulty, then the Dragon are a bit more of a challenge.

I don't find dragons too hard in general with my mage. Only when another one surprises me at the same time.

Bethesda made them easy so that people could easily get souls for the shouts. They need to be buffed a bit

Use elemental weakness.

If it breathes fire, use frost. If it breathes frost, use fire.

I checked myself using the command line console: Fire-breathers have a 50% resistance to fire but a 25% weakness to frost. Vice-versa for frost-breathers. Destruction staves, enchanted weapons, spells. Use 'em.

One note though... Ice Form shout will not work, apparently, as all it does is freeze enemies, and the dragons "resist" the shout and nothing happens. Fire breath shouts work fine on the frosties though.

Toughest dragon so far I've seen is an Elder Dragon. What level did you encounter an Ancient Dragon at? Looking forward to those.

They are INCREDIBLY hard, once you go past the standard blood dragons.

Try fighting Elder or Frost dragons at lvl 30+

On Expert they do around 500 damage per breath, on Adept their breaths hits for 150 up to 200 hp.

So you are either playing a different game or just trying to be smart on internet.

I play on Master Diffiiculty from the start, and I still havn't killed a dragon without a ton of guards helping me.

Pretty bad video. Dragons ARE hard, especially at 30+... one picked up Lydia and killed her midair, I might have helped the finishing off of her but it was accidental. Not too mention it takes a ton of arrows to bring them down.

The first one i fought was a named dragon, usually it was a normal one... it was a TOUGH fight, but aside from that they are pretty easy, just go prepared.

My second dragon fight took probably like 20 mins, most of that time hiding behind rocks. And right after that I had to fight Krosis without any healing potions.

I've been killed by a dragon twice.
I've been killed by a dragon priest 8 times
Given the chance giants would kill me In melee all day.

Dragons are underpowered.

I've not had any issues with elders and haven't seen any ancients. What makes the elders so different from the others? Stagger seems to work on them just as much as it ever has.

Yaknow what I've had happen twice?

I'm at, say... 40% health. The dragon is one hit away from dying.

And then I get the bite-thrash-toss finisher done on me and then I'm dead.

i can't wait to fight the toughter dragons. right now i just use berserk and swing my battle axe a few times and its dead lol. level 10 orc btw.
