Why are most of my friends girls?

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 3:04 am

When I was younger I about 75% of my friends were female. Now years have gone by, and lots of things happen. Now all my friends are guys.

I find both sixes pretty equally obnoxious, at least here. The guys I know at work are pigs who can't stop talking about six, porm, COD, etc., and they become defensive when I ask them to stop with the first two. I also know quite a few who are good workmates.

The girls around me are melodramatic and go on and on about how such-and-such guy rejected them or some trash they had been dating for three days dumped them and it just drives me nuts 'cause they're making mountains out of molehills and they expect me to care enough to help them! Then there are the self-proclaimed gamer girls/nerds/tomboys, etc. My sig sums up my feelings about them. And then... there aren't any girls I've met where I live that I didn't find obnoxious in one way or another. I miss my female friends from Miami, Wellington and California.

Well, I'm sorry to say, but you're in pretty bad company.

Seriously though, unless you're working with 14 and 15 year olds, I find it hard to believe every guy you know talks about nothing but the things you mentioned. (No offense to any of the 14 and 15 year olds here.)

As for the girls, I'll have to agree with you, most of them actually are like that! There are precious few which aren't, and I'm usually friends with them. So, ladies on my friend list, consider yourselves blessed! :P

Yeah that's my point. Since I've got bazillions of friends, where do I start? I should probably use the Malta census of the Male/Female ratio to the population for accurate results.

If I had a choice I'd probably choose to have male friends, but most of the guys at my school are annoying to say the least so I've got girl friends. They're nice, sure, but I get along with nice guys better than nice girls if that makes sense...

You were in the shower thinking about your girl friends, eh? You sly devil, you.

Your friends are your friends. Try not to see the gender, they just mostly happen to be female.

Most of my friends are female. When i first moved to my current location and school a few of the girls where the first to approach me from there I talked to them and we became friends.

I hang out more with my bros than with girls who are friends.
Too much drama.

My band mates are my only guy friends, rest are girls. Gender doesn't matter, its who you get along with, and who is going to be there for you the most, that matters.

I agree, but you know that friend who starts dating someone and completely ignores all of his guy friends? That's the only time I'll pull the BBH card lol. Life's all about balance, you can't just always hang out with guy friends, and you can't always hang out with your gf.

I had a friend once, when i was 15, his girlfriend was over, and he kicked me out of the house for 2 reasons.

1. He wanted to have six with her.

2. his girlfriend hates me.

i didnt have a cell and i had to walk more then a mile to my house.

(he aint my friend no more)

Yup, my wife is my best friend. I have very few people I'my life I call friends, most are women, it's not strange.

Also, next time your guy friends pull the "bros before hos" card, ask them Which of the girls is a ho and challenge them to prove it. I laugh at guys trying to play that card, they always play it incorrectly and it makes them look like idiots.

This except replace wife with girlfriend for the next couple years..

Out of the people I'd consider real friends(the kind who would help me bury a body) about 80% of them are girls. Just the way it is.

Generally my best friends have been boys, but I do hang out with girls a lot. I think I just get on with them better

Just take the population stats for Malta, subtract the half you're related to, and eliminate anyone outside an age band of your choice (optional), and you've got a near-precise number of your friends and acquaintances :P.

You must be using Old Spice.

Edit: this is one of those times where I feel like quoting myself.

Axe body spray.

Maybe deep inside your psyche you are a gay man waiting to blossom. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I'm going to guess you're still in high school. Give it some more time and you will realize that hanging with the big dogs on the porch is where it's at. Woof.

You're gay.
Anyway, my friends:

6 lads + me, 6 ladies. (not all in the same group)

EDIT: Actually, how did you count these people? I've got other good friends, both males and females, who I don't hang around with often.

I'm going to keep my boot free of being kicked into someones butt and assume you are joking :stare:

And I count these as people I regularly hang out with outside of school. We see movies, go out to eat etc.

It's the internet. "You're gay" is the insult you should expect.

Although I still use it in real life.

By the way, why were you thinking about them in the shower? Ew.

(This is probably the exact reason why you don't get a long with most other guys.) :P
