So, why are we in prison this time?

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 7:17 pm

Praying to the Night mother to have someone killed

Necromancy, that would explain the haunted house in Skingrad

not wearing any clothes

you were born in jail

you just walked in

starting whatever crisis is in this game

Public nudity.

It wasn't my fault. A witch put a curse on me and stole all my clothes :(

I think that's my favourite. You could start off in an open cell, you walk tentatively out and have to explain to the warden that you got lost trying to find a loo. He escorts you out, and on the way you kill a rat.

Assuming the 11.11.11 release date to be entirely accurate, Bethesda has already determined the games starting plot, if not the entire game. Since there is no longer an Empire as we knew it, the Imperials wont have the kind of control in Skyrim to be holding anbody prisoner. The Nords never seemed like a taking prisoners kind of race, but more of a feed em to the wolves, stab him with an icicle kind of people. Which I can appreciate.

Because you can start the game with any race it leaves me wondering why my Khajiit would be in Skyrim, or why would he care about anything going on there. He'd much rather be back home in Elsweyr smoking skooma and patronizing the fine Dunmer women of the local prosttutes guild. Aahh the slave masters great great grand daughter, the sweetest taboo

In TES 1 and 2, you were an agent of the emporer.
In TES 3 and 4, you were a prisoner.
In TES 5 and 6 they should do something new and creative.
I do not think you should be a prisoner, but if you are it should be for an extremely unjust reason. You should start off the game going to deliver something to some place for someone, which would be very linear, then you enter a room, then troopers storm in and you are arrested, it would all be part of some larger plot that you do not know about yet. OR this could all happen in a beginning cutscene, in which you see the wonders of the game's new engine, ie, new graphics, better physics, and possibly someone getting BRUTALLY murdered at the place where you are arrested, etc.

Serious: You could start in a battle. The teaser said that the Nords were spilling their own blood (civil war) and you could start in a town getting besieged by Side A/B.

Not So Serious: Killing the Grand Champion's little 'friends.' *cough*Adoring Fans*cough*

Associating with Crassius Curio ........

What he was the best character of Morrowind

We mis-reported the proper chocolate and boot ration.

Oh I know what your saying , kinda sad I can remember that ! :P

What I believe what the main character did was that they got caught sneaking Skooma and moon sugar.

You probably get imprisoned for being at the wrong place at the right time and are mistaken for a spy.

We don't have to be in prison. In Daggerfall and Arena weren't you agents for the emperor.

In Daggerfall you where an agent of the Emperor but in Arena your where in Prison if I recall

The Title of this Topic made me lol, I had to argue this point to my friend earlier.

Its NOT a TES game without Starting in prison with no idea why you are there and then being luckily able to get free at just that time.

Then some people leave the cell and repent, while others burn the world around them.

Obviously for the same reason we were imprisoned in TES I, 3, and 4.

And besides, I never paid the 500 Septim fine the last time.
