Call me an idiot, but can someone tell me why there are MORE ALIENS in Crysis 3? Don't get me wrong, I love killing the Ceph, but why? The ending of Crysis 2 obviously shows that Prophets suit released a spore killing all the aliens and rolling back the entire invasion in New York. The ending also shows that there are aliens in other parts of the world, and the developers of Crysis 3 are so set having it in New York, which based on what I just said, is a completely idiotic idea storywise. If anyone knows, please tell me the excuse for this story choice.

I assume the spores had a hard time getting underground of wherever they were hiding... portals might play a part too
