Why would anybody play on an unranked server? Isn't the point to rank up, unlock items & progress. What is the motivating factor to be on a server that just wastes your time ?

I said 'we' dont have to, not 'I'. Which clearly means everyone else in the world isn't playing with you, so you should stop being unsocial really, its not healthy for you.

On ranked server ur stats gets saved on the leaderboard and not everyone wants to do that , but youll still level up and unlock things in unranked , u can just mess around without getting ur stats at leaderboard

In other games like Battlefield the unranked servers didn't give you XP. At least that's what I was lead to believe. I've never cared about the leaderboards. I have a job unlike the people at the top of the leaderboard. Although I know a group of people who use the same login & play around the clock by taking turns. I can understand why you wouldn't be bothered with the boards. Do you find there are fewer hackers on unranked?

Left 4 Dead 2 and Team Fortress 2, two of Valve's best games, have no ranking up. And they are amazing.
