Knocked a wooden bowl off a bench, tried to put it back, and got arrested. I tried to resist by telling them I was just putting it back and they told me to pay with my blood, so now I'm gonna be executed.

Mordare the Enlightened achieved the power to make his own spell.
All of his research was burned, his items confiscated, and he spent so many years in prison he lost most of his skill.
After serving the lifetime sentence and still being alive, they decided to execute him.

They don't make any other games. Bethesda Softworks publishes those other games. They don't make them. Bethesda Game Studios (BGS) develops TES and Fallout.

Once Morrowind was released, they went right to work on its expansions and Oblivion. Once Oblivion was released, they went right to work on its DLC/expansion and Fallout3. Once Fallout3 was released, they went right to work on its DLC and Skyrim.

Be that as it may, I have great respect for TES games and their lore; I do find it a bit ridiculous that you have to trash talk BW in a thread that has absolutely nothing to do with them.

To be fair, it's easy to do that. The development studio was "Bethesda Softworks" pre-Obliivon. For Oblivion, the development studio was "Bethesda Game Studios", and a new publishing arm was made, taking the name "Bethesda Softworks". That was kinda bone-headed, IMO. Should've kept "Bethesda Softworks" as the development studio, and made a new name for the publishing arm.
