Takes up space? Are you using a mod that limits capacity? I'm on an xbox so containers and bags have, apparently, infinite capacity.

I believe that one orc in the College of Winterhold that sells books can buy it off you.

Actually its weightless. Quest items don't weigh anything, despite what it says. If you want to get rid of it, sell it to the Orc in the COW.

All quest items are weightless.

Doesn't matter WHAT IT says. So long as its marked as a quest item it won't effect encumbrance.

It doesn't add to your total load. I believe the total weight of your stuff doesn't change after you sell it so it wasn't contributing 20.

It clutters your inventory. I wish Bethesda would sort out this whole "quest items" business. It's more often bugged than anything, and it's not particularly realistic.

Except I wasn't being rude. I just simply don't know what unit of measurement they use. And any way, who the hell are you to tell me how to behave?

Dump everything from your inventory and you will see that even though you still have it and it shows it has weight, you will be caring 0.

Long as they clear the quest item flags from non MQ quest items only, I agree. Stumbling upon an item which quest you won't ever want to go through is quite annoying.

There are quests other than the main quest that require the Elder Scroll (ex. Dawnguard), so you might want to hold onto it. As mentioned, if you don't like it in your inventory, just sell it to Urag gro-Shub in the College of Winterhold.

He's a Squatting Turtle, says that right on the top...Reading helps.
As for the elder scrolls you can sell it off,to Urag in the college, but not after the Dawnguard questline.

"20 units" instead of "20 whatthebleeps" would convey the same information and require less time and effort.

And selling it to the orc in Winterhold solves the problem and nets you a nice chunk of change.

Besides, they make excellent insta-tans.
