I feel that too many people automatically assume that the only reason you can be in jail is for being put to death.

thats becuase it is, in the game you are saved just before execution

I banged the Count of Leyawin's daughter. Knowing i was going to be arrested i fled to Skyrim, and when i got to Skyrim i was arrested for having an ice cream cone in my back pocket, i forgot it was Turdas...

It was crossbows for me, yes I had stolen them and the horse and the cart but it a bagatelle.

Well, there's no way I'd be able to settle on a reason this early, but perhaps...the Gods placed me there?

Anyway...Ashnak still isn't sure what he's been charged with. He does vaguely recall something involving a lot of mead (we're talking multiple kegs here), a noblewoman, a live chicken, and some peach preserves- but beyond those minor details, everything is quite fuzzy. He's sure it has something to do with that miserable Nord mead, though. Evil stuff.

It's like how many licks does it take to get to the center of a toitsy pop, The world will never know it could be 1, 2, or 4. Basially what I'm saying is why your in Jail is up to you although I'm thinking that the reason your in Jail is going to be more specific then the other games because you're the Dragonborn. My character will probably be in for Murder but I'm not sure how that's going to go down yet.

Local, minor, nameless Lordling got offended that I'm the Hero?, and he isn't. Tossed me away on trumped up charges.

Harald was framed by his brother for the murder of a local priest. His brothers motives are yet to be discovered.

Sounds like my last Oblivion character, well horse killing, peasant slaughtering and guard butchering with bare fists was also involved.
As well as disrupting the peace by singing off key, chasing a countess through her castle wielding a skull going whoooaaah.
Assassination, assault on royalty, assault on priests and members of elite units of the emperors bodyguards, body snatching.
Grave robbing, theft, assault in general, treason during the defense of several cities, genocide, daedra worshiping, black mail, poisoning livestock.
Being a ne'er do well, breaking and entering, pick pocketing, lewdness, blasphemy, mayhem, prankery, framing innocent people.
Betrayal, drug use, consorting with criminals, not paying bar tabs, resisting arrest, trespassing on goverment property.. heck probably a lot more I've forgotten.

I think I'll take this role up again, especially for Skyrim.

Seeing as how our character is making his way to the execution block at the start of the game think it has to be something serious. So my character was accused of aiding in the assassination of the king of Skyrim.

I was imprisoned and sentenced to death for killing hundreds of my adoring fans that I led into the wilderness and slaughtered.

I picked up a spoon and then a bunch of Imperial Watch ran in and called me criminal scum. I was like "aww hell naw!", and ran off to Skyrim.

I licked my butt in a public place.

The same damn thing happened in the Imperial City :facepalm:
