Why Are You In Jail

Post » Tue Sep 21, 2010 2:33 pm

Political prisoner for skyrim, i think. Assuming that there is a civil war in the province.

My last character was an evil and very powerful sorcerer who was defeated and put in prison at a young age and finally released when he was an old man.

So being released into the world on the emperors orders he strives to dominate the Provence.

my last TES IV character was a ex-moth priest who was... removed from duty for his views that the Kalpa was ending and his agreement with Nu-Mantia that the empire was in danger. Nobody likes the bearer of bad news.

Apparently, the honor code behind duels aren't "knight worthy" when you continue the fight after his death, and murder his family. I don't get it.

Edit: Super typo-fixer-thing!

My Dark Elf merc beat up a local Argonian in Cheydinhal after some "disagreements" on the current state of Argonian occupied Morrowind. So, after already getting on the nerves of the local force, he sealed the deal when he got frisky with the imperial daughter of the count. So, they deported him to Skyrim, and pulled a few strings to have him executed.

  • Finding a way to permanently kill the adoring fan.
  • Arguing with M'Aiq the liar.
  • Mistakingly mixing up Wabbajack with a noble's cane during a quest. Turns out the noble liked to use his cane to scratch his back :whistling: .
  • The character first made a nudity mod. Then the guards stormed his place to stop him from making a "Bang" mod.

A young dunmer of unkown name was in the market with his father one day when his father saw him cheekily steal a few graqes. To discourage our young dunmer from a life of cime his father marched him right to the city guards so the young boy could have his very own prison scare the idea was to leave him in the cell for a hour ot two and stage a fake execution.

Well, _________ is in jail because he killed a couple of town guard captains and pleaded intentional manslaughter hoping it would shave off some jail time.

A Dunmer from the declining Great House Redoran. When mercenaries from Skyrim attacked and destroyed his estate killing many of his loyal servants and family members. He rallied a small Redoran force to deal with the threat once and for all. During the mission news came that the Daedra were attacking Ald'ruhn, Redoran's capital.
He returned in haste to aid in the fight but was to late, Ald'ruhn was destroyed.
After which he returned to Blacklight the last bastion of The Great House of Redoran. The council blamed him for two counts of failure, one he failed to completely stop the mercenary invaders and two he was not there to aid in the defence of Ald'ruhn. Used as a scapegoat to pass the blame, he was imprisoned and exiled to Skyrim for augmented abasemant to his pride.
When the ship carrying him to Skyrim was near the coast, he tried to escape killing a Imperial prison guard but was caught.

Failure of duty, Exile and Imprisonment, now facing death for killing a Imperial Guard. He awaits his fate in a cold dark damp cell.

My character works on a family farm. His father 'owed' money to someone who started threatening him. One day when returning form the fields my character finds his mother and father badly beaten and his sister taken until the 'debt' is paid. My character is angered and tries to get his father to go after them but he won't he says: 'that they are to strong, people should know their limitations, it will take a few months then we can pay'.
My character is still angry and despite his tender years takes his father sword and a hunting knife and goes after them. When he finds them he is quickly over powered and then ring leader takes him to his sister. He says 'now I'm going to really teach your family a lesson' and using my characters knife he kills his sister! He smears some of the blood on my character and forces the knife into his hand and leaves him for the guards.

This leaves my character in prison, guilt ridden and at least to start with, not wanting to take on huge responsibility like being a Dragonborn!

Well, one day, I the perfectly normal warrior was exploring when I found a shrine to Sheogorath. It statted talking. He has a way with words, and so I found myself holding a ballon sheepdog, a book of summoning, and a staff that could turn people into sheep, all for some awesome Unique Dedric Amour. I was GOING to turn them back. Honest. But all the activity cauget the attention of a Dragon, and they found me knocked out two hours later holding a book of summoning in a burnt village saying how the dragon ruined everything. I COULD have talked my my out, but apperently the King's SOn was on holiday in the area and he has not been seen since so as you can imagine he was angry. And I never even got my amour.

It involved a Bosmer "wizard" named Tarhiel, in Morrowind, Scrolls of Icarian Flight, my encouragement of his "test flight", my silence of the dangers of jumping that high without a way to land, his looted domicile, and his valuables in my pockets once his body was found.

Tentative back-story for Selenia Bladesong.

I lived in a small cabin nestled away in the mountains. Just my family and I. A quiet, peaceful place.
One day I was away trading excess meats and hides in the nearest village for needed goods.
While I was away, deserters and brigands passing through the area, slew my family.
Once I returned and buried my family, I began tracking down the men responsible.
The first one I found gave me the names of all the others and their likely destinations.
I spent the next few years tracking down each of the men individually.
Once I found one, I would "collect" information about the others, before killing him.
Once my bloody task was complete, I didn't care that the authorities found me.
Now I sit in a prison waiting to be executed, or perhaps, I just wait for another reason to live.

My only regret? If I had used fast-travel I would have gotten home quicker :D

Hero - 'Wrongly Accused' to put it simply. It was an accidental byproduct with a confrontation with a Dark Brotherhood assassin that killed his Mentor and sister, his family being targeted due to his connection with his Teacher. Escaping and running, which followed crippling three Imperial guards, didn't help him when he was captured again.

There's more, but I'm saving the full details for another thread geared more toward backgrounds.

Anti Hero - A rising talent in the Dark Brotherhood was sent from Morrowind to Skyrim as a three man job. Using his 'Brothers' as unwitting decoys and after disguising his true identity with a carefully maintained Illusion spell, he proceeded to assassinate the King, sparking a Civil War. He let himself be captured and was placed in a cell, where with no witnesses dropped his disguise. When the next watch came in, he was to be seen as the wrong prisoner, and escape when they transferred him elsewhere.

I'm not worried about my anti *cough*evil*cough* hero's consistency with the story. Always changeable, and who knows? With rumors flying around, who knows what is true anymore?

My Nord is a berserker warrior being sentenced for killing someone on accident. He pretty much embraces the Dragon Shouts with open arms as a new more powerful way to fight without losing his mind in blind rage.

My Khajiit is an illegitimate great-great-great-etc grand-daughter of http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:The_Real_Barenziah,_v_2. She's got no prospects other than her natural talents, so she's been taking after grandpappy's thieving sneaking ways, and it's finally caught up to her. The whole Dovahkiin business is her chance to turn her life around and be something better than a stereotype.

I don't know how I'm going to play my Argonian and Orc yet.

Mi high elf was sipping his whisky in the pub, not really minding anyone around him. Then some too-grown, not so clever nor sober nords started making fun of me. I "accidentally" charred them. In a Nords' town.

My Breton was arrested because the f*ing police is corrupted and violent, anarchyyyyyyyy
