Why are you needed to destroybanish Alduin?

In Skyrim you are chosen to fight dragons because you can absorb their souls and put them down for good, but you don't absorb Alduin's soul, instead he just disappears/gets banished/destroyed.

In the prophecy it is mentioned the Last Dragonborn but Miraak tells you that he could have destroyed him (Alduin) and he is seemingly the first DB, and obviously not the last.

Furthermore, the LDB got to Sovngarde through a portal that I guess anybody could pass through.

Lastly Dragonrend could have been known (through an Elder Scroll or buried knowledge), so a normal person with training could have learned it.

So then, could a very powerful being that is not dragonborn have crossed the portal and defeat Alduin with the help of the three heroes that knew Dragonrend?

BTW, Sovngarde should be reachable again since you can now ride dragons (and the whole Ohdaving thing doesn't make much sense now), but that's another story.

Regards.

Poor logic. The time it would take for a normal human to even attain a basic understanding of the Thu'um would be detrimental to the journey. It takes years to even muster one shout, and they don't have the grace of having Word walls jam a word into your skull, let alone the ability to tame a dragon. By than, Alduin would have most likely started chomping away at the world.

Furthermore, the LDB got to Sovngarde through a portal that I guess anybody could pass through.
Or completely wiped out. Sovngarde doesn't welcome the living, and it was manifest destiny that made Tsun yield.

Lastly Dragonrend could have been known (through an Elder Scroll or buried knowledge), so a normal person with training could have learned it.
Doubt it. It would still take a lot of training to make it work, and no one else but those who can use the Thu'um like a dragon would be able to learn it merely from example.

BTW, Sovngarde should be reachable again since you can now ride dragons (and the whole Ohdaving thing doesn't make much sense now), but that's another story.
Again, need to actually learn the shout itself, and its possible only Odahviing and a few select others know where his temple lies.
