Why is Automatron releasing at 1 pm EST on psn?

Post » Tue Mar 22, 2016 7:12 am

Everyone else gets to play it at midnight, and I have to wait until 1 pm. Granted I don't mind waiting, and I have the patience, I just want to know why...

Well it isn't going to bother me as I won't be playing till after I get home from work tomorrow ... and it can download as I do my honey-do chores.

As far as why it's different. Well it really shouldn't be unless there's some money saving to Beth for having fewer release times.

It's more of the point that I want it to be available to everybody. I'm up late doing work with my schedule, and was looking forward to being able to play fallout for at least an hour before going to bed.

I have no idea man but that's the way it is....it doesn't bother me, since I'll be at work until 5:30pm CST so when I get home, I'll start the download and fix myself some dinner and chat up my fiance about how her day was and then settle into my recliner and kick ass on the Mechanist lol

They've said on their Twitter account that it is on PSN's side of things as to why it's releasing that late.

At least, that's what they make it out to be.

Might have something to do with the time difference between US and Japan, and the fact that PS4 is #3 on Bethesda's preference sheet.

I'd not complain to hard, this dlc was likely done for weeks on the pc. As they had to build it on the pc, using the construction kit.

I don`t mind playing a day late. It`s not competition of whom plays it first.

I mean, it's releasing at midnight on Xbox Live and PSN in Europe. If it's releasing later for only one region for just PSN, I'd assume another factor is involved.

I think that's when the PSN Store updates or something? I don't know how it works.

This.

For those on PS4 this is a pretty typical release for their DLC. Beth can't control/dictate those markets

The last time I had DLC from Bethesda via PSN, I waited 8 months behind Xbox and 7 months behind PC.

I'm fine waiting a few extra hours.

It is typically when they do it, but it is not set in stone. They can update the store at anytime and set any download to only be accessible at X date and time.

I feel you. More and more lately Sony has made me regret choosing them for console. I could understand if the release were pushed to midnight; considering all the stringent US release copyright laws, but come on. I think they will find it hurts their bottom line in the end. Steam and Xbox One have it at midnight, and even the Xbox One allows you to change your region enabling it's users to download the dlc now.

Because PSN svcks and always late to update their store. This is nothing new from Sony and their psn being so bad is the reason I refuse to buy PlayStation Plus. Not going to give them money to be treated like the red headed stepchild.

I've always felt like Sony treats the US Market as a necessary-evil/cash-cow that they would prefer to ignore if the Asia markets could make up the lost. Alot of their best rpg titles never make it to the west.. at least for PS2/3 titles were that way. Which is why I refuse to buy a PS4 console till its around $99.

So i noticed, i was wondering when it said 22nd, it meant 22nd in the northern hemisphere and 23rd in Australia, still not surprised that it wont be Wednesday 23rd here on steam.
