Memory management issue, perhaps. Unless you have less than 4GB of RAM, adding RAM won't help.

Those are TSR software programs (so programs that start up and load when you first turn on your computer) that remains in memory until they needed, and they perform some function(s).

Sometimes they can cause problems !!! So just disable those through your Windows Task Manager.

If you have a lot of TSR's or startup programs running, they can use a lot of your memory that there is not enough left, to efficiently run all of the other programs including your OS.

Basically, because those programs remain in the computer's memory, memory conflicts errors and crashes can occur, when other programs require use of all or part of the memory already occupied by these TSR programs.

However, it it's only a backgroung program that you have started yourself, working in the background, just disable that program and you should be fine.

------------

What background program was it ???
