Why Beth Hasn't Shown Graphics and Gameplay to their Fullest

Post » Sat Jun 18, 2011 7:45 am

First; If they don't want console users to get jealous of the PCs' graphics, tell them to go spend 1200 dollars on a PC, okay glad that's out of the way.
Second; They're not showing PC screenshot because they are traitors and are making it for the console first and screwing the users who made them huge
Third; Todd is a you-know-what-young male-fan
Fourth; And lastly Bethesda is greedy
Hope that clears up all the confusion :celebration:

Wrong, they just haven't ported the xbox version to pc yet.

Lol, that would be horrible. If that were true there would be like 2-4 months of work on the PC game.

Wouldn't be surprised though.

They don't want to show the best settings on the PC, because it doesn't accurately represent the experience that most gamers will have when they play the game. If we allsaw the highest settings on PC, then those of us who play on the 360 would be disappointed. They just don't want to be misleading. Also, a big part of their philosophy as developers (which is awesome) is that the game should look and feel awesome on ALL platforms.

They could say "Hey, you payed 400-600 bucks for your console 6 years ago, don't expect it to look like the PC that runs current gen hardware" That wouldn't be misleading at all. But thats also not the reason, its because they're lazy and it was easier to develop on the xbox.

Todd and Bethesda in general seem to have a fetish for the 360... Besides, I'm not playing this game for it's graphical capabilities.

I understand why they're doing things the way they are, but would it really be a big deal to release a gameplay video running on a high end PC with max settings? Just to show, this is what it COULD look like if you have the hardware? As long as they point out "This is on PC, the console versions will not look like this", they're not really duping anyone...

Are you serious? What about us people that do have a good PC, which is a lot more PC gamers then you think, obviously you must not PC game, as you think everyone has a [censored] computer.
Well want do you want? Them to not release Skyrim until 2013-2014 once all the next gen consoles are out?

Yeah or they could just develop it for PC and then port it to console like BF3. Oh that sounds like a fantastic idea. Why not do it? Well, we don't know. It does seem stupid doesn't it? Yes.
