Why do Bloodbugs seem harder to kill than a deathclaw?

Post » Sun Jan 17, 2016 11:57 pm

Especially the vampiric kind. I hate them and they freak me out as much as the clanking monkeys at this point.

But why do I almost have to bust out my missile launcher to kill one?

Yes, I'm playing on Very Hard, but still....they shouldn't be able to wipe out a quarter of my health with one sting.

when they swarm you it's extremely dangerous. I would rather fight a DeathClaw than deal with a swarm of Blood Bugs & Bloat Flies.

Oh dear. They are hard to hit, but I can kill em'. They are not very tough, even the special ones. and go down to just a couple of hits.

I use my Assault Rifle, it's got an 80 round mag, and I pick em' out of the air. Survival, no VATS ever.

That is what VATS is for silly, you don't need it for anything but fast bugs.

I just wonder how can they insert the stinger through the power armor's thick metal plates.

I was searching for the legendary bloodbugs, hunt them down for that instigating Gauss.

A death claws damage is received in well telegraphed chunks. In power armour you have chances to punch it or stagger it and can take the hits.

Blood bugs damage is over time and cumulative. They drain hp, stagger you AND can cause poison in some cases AND if more than one hit you at once that drain effect stacks. If you play on survival like a manly man then there is no surviving. Stimpacks cannot heal you faster than the draining.

I had the same issues in Skyrim with the Chaurus. I would much rather fight an army of soldiers AND 5 dragons at once than fight 1 single Chaurus. Poison damage over time that ignores armour is frustrating, so I would just run from them. Not worth the time.

maby it is made out of carbon fiber formed from radiation, 1 single molecule can be connected in a tube shape and actually be 3 feet long and can penetrate solid steel because molecular bonds are very hard to break compared to unbonded steel waiting to get separated.

Every type of enemy can be dangerous in number. The more appropriate comparison is a group of bloodbugs versus a *group* of deathclaws, and they are both deadly for sure.

It's a shooter test. My chops are pretty well back, well for an old person anyway. They are nothing like they were at one time. I used to play Q3 a bit and back then my snap shots were deadly. I could track a newly acquired target, moving very fast, across my field of view, and kill it without thinking. There are lots of serious shooter players do this all day, but it's long gone for me. The bugs are a test. ;)

One of the worst aspect of the flying bugs is, once you DO manage to destroy them, they explode into a zillion pieces and it can be darn-near impossible to find even one bit to loot. Ugh.

Killing any flying insects in Fallout 4 without VATS has got to be hilarious to watch and a test of patience. Due to my lack of patience I want them dead instantly.

Bloodbugs are more or less annoyances due to them being hard to aim at.

On the other hand I'm starting to agree with most people that Radscorpions are more dangerous than Deathclaws.

"Well Paladin Danse, serving along side you these last, what? 20 minutes? Has been an honour . . . and a privilege. Now I'm sure you'll do your sacred duty, in covering my retreat to that trailer over there, against these weird flying things, but try not to use those plasma grenades I gave you till I'm out of the way mate yeah?" ~ me, to Danse whilst dealing with Bloodbugs.

If you melee them with a fast or medium speed melee weapon, you can hit two at the same time.

When i see them I rush attack them and swipe them out of the sky before they know I'm there.

I lived in terror of Deathclaws in FO3 - get suprised by one and you were done.

In 4, no Deathclaw has been a threat. They telegraph everything and spend the opening seconds of the fight posing - plenty of time to cripple a leg.

Yeah. I get killed more by those [censored] monstrous mosquitoes than a freaking monstrous iguana.

Deathclaws killed me 2 or 3 times when still under level 50. Bloodbugs killed me countless time, even until now..

IMO Bloodbugs are worse than Bloatfly and the Dragonfly. They have smaller hit box that using 'Spray n Pray' and the bullets still freaking miss.

It's because they can fly as well as their speed (I kike when the actually use their flight to dodge me lol).) whereas Deathclaws can only run on the ground at you

Imagine if Deathclaws could climb walls and things with those big claws lol.

Don't know how you do it, the no VATS part. I tried at first but those bloatflies and bloodbugs are too infuriating. That and those mirulurks hatchlings or whatever they're called get on my nerves. [censored] bugs.

I agree with the person who said the chaurus were brutal too in Skyrim.

10MM, VATS, and if you have, GunFu, WIN, I can actually do 13 attacks b4 running out of points... and if you REALLY want to get behind something... just throw Molotov, it works every time. they are actually easier than boaty, because their big hit box legs, if I rapid fire my 10MM, or if you miss-a-lot, use auto shotty (or double barrel "*endless") they are usually dead in 1-2 shots, even the legendary! and remember, use the forc... I mean... radar, to see those red dots of indication of where they are!~ OR if you are REALLY cower, call Dogmeat to kite them out first... wait, actually I love Dogmeat... ... use Preston instead...

Backpedal and shoot. There's a bit more to it. It's quite possible to hit them and a couple of good hits will kill em; You can whittle them down with leg shots as that's a huge hit box but really it's concentration. The AR is my favorite because of how well it handles and with an 80 round mag you can deal with a couple. More and things get complicated and getting them lined up becomes important.

Spray n' Pray is the best weapon for all kind of bugs and ghouls ^^ it hits even if you miss your target, which makes the aim so much easier on quick objects

and the spray on the explosion also gets rid of all the mirelurk eggs at once

I guess Bethesda wanted to continue the legacy of the Cazadors and invented a new annoying insect :D
