I was thinking the same. Seems to me that the player should become the next damn emperor. First take over skyrim then the empire, make the emperor a Nord Dragonborn as he / she ought to be.

I can see why some would want to be emperor but its not for me. i would rather be important to saving the world but i wouldn't want to be ruler. one reason id because i don't think a ruler would go and risk his life with different quests. if you completed the quest and became ruler and the... joined a guild for example you are doing something that a normal ruler wouldn't do. A ruler sits all the time and makes decisions lol.

What kind of emperor roams the country side looting dungeons? I don't think it'd be too fun sitting in a throne all day. In Morrowind you were the Nerevarine, in Skyrim, you're the Dragonborn. In Oblivion... Well.. You helped.

That is actually one of the things I 'loved' from oblivion, you we're no one special. You we're just that... one guy. You know leader of the Fighters Guild, Mages Guild, Thieves Guild, Dark Brotherhood, God of Madness, and Arena Grand Champion... eventually
