Why is the hardware in a console so different that it can't be used by Windows or OSX? I don't understand why it's not possible to put Windows on my Xbox360, is it a different motherboard or something? I know that with the Linux on PS3 you can't utilize the graphics card, are they built that way? Or is just something that happens?

Putting unauthorized software onto a console is a violation of the EULA.
