I made an Altmer who uses both warrior and mage skills and made him have a good alignment so I didn't want him becoming a vampire. I fast travelled to a place after doing a quest(I think it was the one with the ORder of the Virtuous Blood) and I realized I just became a vampire! I was like WTF, I don't remember contracting that! So I reloaded my save which was only a minute or so ago so I decided to head to a temple instead. So I arrive in Cheydinhal and go to the altar and it said the "Rejoice! Through your something something your afflictions are banished!" but when I looked at my stats I'm still infected. Why is this? My fame is like, 30 and my renown is like 30 as well so no infamy.

Why won't the altar cure me? I don't want to turn in a vampire!

You probably waited too long after being infected. Don't forget that time passes when you fast travel.

Cure disease potion/spell.
