Why, can't you see Fallout as others do?

PLEASE MOVE IF THIS IN THE WRONG AREA, MY BAD-eddy

I wonder if these developers have every seriously sat back and freaking listened, no played Fallout 2. Did you not feel the game, the story take place in your head? the music told the tale of a wasteland occupied by good and evil, the story was simple and creative you were The Chosen One. destined to save your tribe, your family just as the past chose none once did. along the way you either kill or help people and gathered an brilliant group of friends, hero's Sulek Vic
Myron Marcus Lenny Dogmeat Gorris, you fought bandits and helped people defend their towns you fought aliens and death claws as they grazed in the wastes. you found community's, you found justice and you found corruption. You either saved or destroyed the gouls in Gecko. you stopped the war that could have happened at Modoc had you not found Karl in time. you find the Geck and you heroically travel to your tribe. Only to find that it was raided by the Enclave you head there guns ready friends by your side. and you stop the evil in the Enclave. Fallout 2 had a Level cap of 99 WHY CAN'T THEY DO THAT IN FALLOUT NEW VEGAS. Why can you only have 2 companions as I've read in fan interviews! IT'S crap, like people won't walk with you if somebodys already there? It didn't make the game easier with them there your companions it just felt right.

I think Fallot 3 was terrible with the graphics and the engine, in fallout 2 you fire a rocket and the blast in to pieces not continuing stand there looking at you!. the graphics were Better in Fallout 2! the animations were more realistic!! BLOOD SPILLED FROM THE CHESTS AND ERUPTED FROM THEIR VEINS! CAUSE THERE WAS BULLETS ENTERING THEM! you could shoot off and arm in Fallout 2 and burn somebody sure the graphics were lacking a tiny bit since it would be cool if they were kinda scorched. AND THE DEATHS IN FALLOUT 3 ARE RIDICULOUS I shoot him in the chest and his arm flail backwards as he floats to the ground? And you can see no holes in him (whatever he may be) and no blood no nothing! You Developers need to hire back BlackIsle BECAUSE AT LEAST THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING!

I have nothing against Bethesda except for making fallout A Franchise with is again [censored] Fallout 1 and 2 Had no such thing THEY CARED ABOUT THE GAME AND MAKING IT GOOD giving ACTUAL RUNNING FEATURES AND A CAR PLUS AWESOME GAME PLAY -Note that I am capsing most of this not as in yelling in anger but that is important.

I know there are Fans out there who feel the same as I do, They want the old way back but improved. WHOS WITH ME!?

also Fallout Tactics was okay but lacking in story and creativity even though it was by Blackisle, instead of finding armor you had to buy it, and you get stuck with the basic stuff until you level up. that's just sad. you have to wait god knows how long until you can get Power Armor which brings us back to FO3 WHY DO YOU HAVE TO BE TRAINED TO USE POWER ARMOR, couldn't you just slow the character down until he adapts? which by the way should not take too long. ALSO FALLOUT 3 HAS LITTLE TO NONE DIALOG CHOICES AND ANSWERS it's as if everyone is stuck up and pathetic. LOOK AT THE DIALOG OPTIONS IN FALLOUT 2 AND YOU GET THE POINT= Awesome.

Fallout Tactics just seem inferior to Fallout 1-2 I'd still play 2 over Tactics anyday same as 3. and I have playe dit to those thinking I'm ranting on about a game I never played. I Have PLAYED FO3 and I was Disappointed THE GROUND FALLOUT 2 IS BETTER LOOKING THEN 3!!

TO BETTER FALLOUT NEW VEGAS - remove the 30 lvl cap! 99 allows more fun and improvement! ALLOW MORE PEOPLE TO JOIN YOU!
THE WASTES ARE A LONELY PLACE! MAKE A VEHICLE! walking is too slow and fast travel is again PATHETIC. FIX THE DEATH AND INJURY ANIMATIONS a MAN CAN LIVE WITH A MISSING ARM OR LEG HE'LL just be a little unhappy with you. SAVE THE GHOULS AND MUTANTS They're Our Friends MAKE CARCASSES HAVE WOUNDS OR HOLES ! FIX THE GROUND FIX INVISIBLE WALLS MAYBE THE PLAYER CAN BE ATHLETIC!
GIVE THE GAME A WILD SCRIPT! WIDE VARIETY OF MISSIONS QUESTS AND LET THE PLAYER LIVE!~!!! YOU CAN STILL BE A HERO IN DEATH
BUT HOW CAN YOU SIGN AUTOGRAPHS!? AND CONTINUE KILLING BANDITS AND MERCENARY'S ?? ADD MORE DIALOG AND MORE CHOICES
MAKE THE TEXTURES MORE LIKE FALLOUT 2S! THE VIDEO THEMSELVES LOOK BETTER THEN FO3! AND FINALLY
MAKE THE GAME FUN

ANYWAY to conclude this -Fallout 1 and 2 are better then 3 WHY ARE YOU FOOLS RUINING NEW VEGAS IF SUCH INFORMATION IS TRUE.
WHO ELSE AGREES WITH ME?

AND DEVELOPERS OF THIS GAME PLEASE READ AND UNDERSTAND WHERE I'M COMING FROM PLEASE! DO NOT RUIN THIS GAME THIS LEGEND! THIS LEGACY! -If I knew the number I'd beg and plead to not mess this up(New Vegas) EDDY OUT!

You're in for a treat. New Vegas is being made by Obsidian, which is basically Black Isle v2.0, as it was founded by former Black Isle employees. New Vegas even has some of these former Black Isle employees (many of whom actually worked on Fallout 1&2) working on New Vegas.

Bethesda is merely publishing it.

And there was much rejoicing.

I know that but it's still not the same. the limits are what is making it (at least to me) unlike fallout in every way. like I stated the animations and in general the entire game.

Not to worry It's really rare that I comment so much, but after reading so many comments and reviews on previous sites I find there are a lot of people who agree. fallout 3 was terrible and they don't want to be disappointed with NV.

Are you aware that Fallout 3 garnered game of the year in 2008 and earned the number two slot of IGN's top 25 games? I enjoyed the original games and i also enjoyed Fallout 3 I feel that attempting to refute your points would boil down to a futile argument which would likely lock the thread. I'm mostly trying to say, it's fine if you dislike the turn the franchise has taken, but understand many of us longtime fans are fond of it. The game is gold, it is finished, nothing is changing, the master copy has shipped, the chicken has flown the coop, it is what it is.

I sincerely hope English is not your first language.

Tl;dr, but i get the jist of what you are saying, and as a oldschool FO fan i have to disagree with you.

Not old as in old age, but old as in i played fo1 and 2 to death.

I skimmed your OP. Too ranty. And I can't say I agree with you in the least. What you're asking for is a perfect game, something no developer, no matter how experienced, is capable of. You are also asking for the PC to be god. I doubt anyone who seriously thought about the implications of that would want that.

EDIT: And for the love of God, turn off your damn caps lock.

EDIT2: And what Giliant said.

What in the world did I just read? Calm down man, your going to have a brain hemorrhage lol take some jet and chill out... I too am a long time Fallout fan and have been MORE than pleased with every Fallout game produced. They cannot please everyone tho, but atleast they give it a hell of a try and both companies have made wonderful games.

PS - Caps lock is not cruise control for cool

Text Storm! Ahhhhhhhhhhhh! :ahhh: (Buffer Overload)

There is no point in becoming upset before the game comes out, no one here REALLY knows how good it will be or what the issues will be.

I think I saw a bunch of moderators at the side of the road today sharpening spears for the coming event; there will be plenty of excitement and emotion flying around after the release as it is. Until then, Keep the Faith buddy. :fallout:

You should skip FO NV and wait for the MMORPG Fv13 that interplay is working on. It's interplay, you know, the developers of that fallout you love and rant about. Even though the original peeps left after interplay went public/got bought by titus. Even though that interplay/titus went bankrupt and the company the creditors attempted to collect from didn't exist. Even though some [censored] bought interplay and the rights to classics like fallout/earthworm jim, etc. that had nothing to do with the 'classic' interplay. I heard they consulted somebody that made fallout 1 or something like that. Maybe it's the guy who did the box artwork, but either way you should be pleased

Beth made a game to sell. Isometric, semi-crappy GFX and TB RPG's doesn't "sell" any more.

Also I love F1 and F2 but I can see why such a game wouldn't be "possible" today. A new player would pic up the case, flip it over, take one look at the in-game pics and toss it over his/her shoulder

I can respect constructive critcism. I can not respect posts saying "Fallout 3 was terrible!". To me, that says you are unable to think in nuances, and that your view on the matter is black and white.

This.

There isn't a market for isometric games anymore, or at least not a big money market. I know I wouldn't look twice at an isometric game nowadays

Would be great if they had both FPS/3rdPP and isometric/hover cam+TB mode in the game at start.
Could be hard to balance out since they would have to redesign damage calculations and stuff but still doable.

But yeah, an isometric TB RPG wouldn't sell as well.
Maybe if it was an indie game sold at XBLA but as a mainstream product that is expecting people to pay full price for it? Nope.
Sadly that gravy train has passed.

I thought he was a troll at first too, but he registered in 2008 so it seems unlikely.

Wow.

There's many ways to respond to your ranting, rambling, semi-coherent post that most will never finish reading because it is a poorly written wall of text.

But let me skip to the main point.

It is just a game. A video game. Please calm down.

Thanks for the chuckle though.

I am merely saying that Fallout 3 could have been so much better compared to the other games before and in it's time.As I stated I played the game but some aspects of it just turned me off of it. I still played it,and I enjoyed it to an extent but as that guy down below was saying I guess I am wanting the worlds greatest game or however he phrased it. If the thread gets rowdy with arguments then lock, or remove the thread as deep in my mind as I was it's probably a bunch of blatant writing anyway, but I had to get it out and a few understand it seems..

P.s yes English is my first language though I do tend to forget a comma, period, and such when speaking my mind. (as hard as that is to understand haha)
A public speaker I am not.
