» Mon Mar 25, 2013 7:07 am i have not been able to get the game to promptly invite me to buy any land in dawnstar.
my character is level 23 and i have so far only the option from an NPC in falkreath to buy land closeby there. i dont want to waste all my gold on land somewhere i dont want to be though, i would much prefer to buy land and build a house near dawnstar and im seeing online that you can get land in dawnstar.
but i dont have anything to go by on getting it. ive tried doing all quests for the yarl, and still nothing. then i read that i need to complete all quests for dawnstar and ive just completed the quest line for that museum dude. i killed him and killed the 2 evil minions that spawn right afterwards. back in dawnstar, still nothing. spoken to all NPCs, no quests to do. not one NPC is telling me, here go buy some land down there for example.
please, what am i doing wrong? when i loaded up skyrim for the first time after activating the dlc hearthfire, all i had was a letter in misc for an invite to buy land near falkreath. i didnt get anything else. ive also heard that some npc shows up when sitting around in whiterun and invites you to buy land in dawnstar / near there. but ive left the character logged in in whiterun and changed the timescale to fastest to make the game day go by quick and i waited 4 game days, no NPC.
please can someone help? what am i doing wrong?
