Don't call something foolish when you didn't even bother to understand what was said. :)

Well name calling was me being nice. What you did was you made a thread about how you think weapon degradation should be in the hardcoe mode. People disagreed with you on grounds that they think weapon degradation doesnt make the game harder and is lame. You then made a new thread about how people who are against the idea you like are merely casual gamers, even though none of them identified as such (you are the one who started throwing out the word casual)

You went on to question why these people should be allowed to have any imput about the game mode because they are casuals who want the game to be easier. But that is not what any one said, what people said was your idea was not i teresting and you got butt hurt. So you decided to make a new thread that twists the context of other peoples arguments so that you can fit them into a label and try to disqualify their point of view.

Btw I liked weapon degradation, but you are objectively bad at getting over people not agreeing with you.

Put it like this, if someone is offended by the words casual gamers I apologize. But Casual gamers are in no way shape or form a bad thing, its just a different style of play...

Some people go to the park to relax, some people go to the park to play competitive football.. There is a difference in action, but not the person themselves.. Some people play games for fun, some people play games for challenge. This is the difference between hardcoe and casual. I dont see anybody taking offense to being called hardcoe are they? So why is it any different for casual gamers?

I do make multiple saves. Save corruption isn't really something I personally am concerned with because it's never happened to me in 1000+ hours of Bethesda Fallout games. I'm not worried about losing entire saves, I just don't want to lose an hour of walking and looting over silly [censored]. Multiple saves at the same bed isn't going to stop me losing progress. As an example, something which happened to me recently - I got in an elevator in an area where my game's FPS had been dropping very low, and I glitched through the floor and died. Now I can tolerate that sort of thing as long as I've got the option to have saved ten minutes before it. But if I'm going back to a bed miles away from where the game bugged out and killed me, I'm going to get frustrated quickly. It's the same with crashing - no amount of multiple saves can rescue the time you might lose if you didn't come across a bed recently.

The issue I have with threads like this is that if manual saves were left as they are people like you and the OP could still save at beds if you wanted to. The fact these threads keep appearing tells me certain people aren't interested in having a game which pleases the most amount of players, they want everyone else to bend to their playstyle. That to me is just bizarre.

So you think this is about that thread? You have no idea... This about the people voicing on youtube saying that hardcoe mode shouldnt have this or that to literally take away the meaning behind it. This is about the articles and comments of people claiming its too hard.

Heck this is literally about people standing in the way of Bethesda's creativity... If Bethesda told me all of my ideas in that thread were bad I'd be fine with it because its just a mode...

What I care about is the mindset of gamers.. "Lets dismiss this cool idea that Bethesda has because I think its too hard" even if the mode is not even relavent to their style of play...

So sure, you can keep bringing up yesterdays thread but I will keep this ship on course...

I still don't get why the "hardcoe gamers" are against toggles?

This isn't a competetive game after all... so it should be of little interest for them which of the new features i want in my game and which i'd like to turn off.

No way that it will do that. It will just work like any other hard-save "choose slot to save" screen.

Just like now.. the only thing is that it will have savepoint mechanics rather than

Man, on the internet you can tell someone makes a pathetic statement or weak arguement and then they call it flaming/namecalling etc. People make all these total sh..posts where they typed some anger away for 30 seconds but when you call them out for doing so they go cry because they expect you to post a 50 page essay-response for them because omg you should respect ma authoritahhhhh with that well written out 30 sec sh..post ROFL.

Yeah man +1

If they can't handle a thing, they should play on the difficulty fit for them and after they obtain more experience, try again later. That is how it worked for about two decades or so. If you let some people decide what is gonna happen we will all stare at naked hentai women with my little ponies painted as clouds.

$

So you are admitting that casual gamers are not looking for a challenge, then for what the fruit are these people assuming they are entitled to judge a gamemechanic in a game difficulty that they won't play LOOOOOOOOOL

You just went full flying purple hippo.

Do you go to restaurants too, and tell people that the pineapple on their plate is bad and they shouldn't eat it but yet you have a total different dish??????????????????????????????

??????????????

This post, very much so states perfectly what will happen as a result of all this debate. It is honestly worse than politics and the election haha. Lets be real people, survival is what it means. I don't just want to play dark souls or WaW on veteran for a challenge in a game okay. Why that it seems to be a crime to enjoy Fallout 4 and have a greater role play challenge is beyond me. This post made my day and should be seen by everyone. Good post man.

Its only a vocal minority that are against toggles I'd wager. Toggles are the best overall option for the situation. People seeking the "ultimate hardcoe experience" can turn them all on. Those who want some of the new features but not all of them can turn on what they want leading to more people enjoying the game mode. But this thread is about people who want features flat out removed. Another vocal minority I'd wager.

Bend to their playstyle??? Do you have any idea how and why hardcoe was originated? It is deliberately designed to suit a certain playstyle, what are you talking about? Survival/hardcoe mode is NOT about pleasing everyone, this is what easy medium hard and very hard are for...

Survival mode is an anomoly, it exist for the hardcoe crowd of players that likes extreme challenges that are not just a raise in enemy HP...

I think this is all down to a difference in opinion as to what survival mode should mean. Some want immersion type mechanics such as FNV had, while some are looking for the difficulty to be directly increased. I played through FNV in hardcoe mode and enjoyed that level of in depth tinkering in menus, but i know that sort of thing is not to everybody's tastes. I don't feel it made the game subjectively more difficult, but that wasn't something that bothered me anyway.

Well, then i have to change my statement to:

I still don't get why "vocal minorities" insist on forcing their playstyle on others when there could be options for everyone.

Couldn't tell ya. Could be some misguided attempt to preserve the sanctity of so and such or simply an ego problem. People will always try to tell others how they should play their video games though.

Yeah, bend to their playstyle. There's several features of survival mode that everybody wants, there's one feature that a minority want, which they could self-impose anyway. You want me to play a single player game the same way you do, and you seem to feel very strongly about that position. It's just a bit weird, mate.

There is a difference between "wanting a feature removed" (like say "I don't like VATS, It needs to go!") and "don't add this feature or at least make it a toggle because of this potential problem"

Totally agree, it's as if there is some great prize at stake or you are cheating the universe if you don't play as they say you should.

Of course there is. That statement was regarding OP saying people wanted features removed not toggleable.
