Why did you choose YOUR house theme?

Post » Sat Nov 13, 2010 8:00 pm

I have the Pre War one installed. I don't like any of them to be honest... but the Megaton house is so empty. I wish the themes weren't so crowded, y'know? It's either wide empty spaces or cramped, overfilled house that Wadsworth can't move in.

I have Pre War because in TPT it sorts your bed out and I wanted an actual bed instead of a piece of scabby board, but it doesn't do anything to that. -_-"

The only theme I like is the Pre-War theme. Apart from my love for all things Pre-War, it makes the house look beautiful and cozy. Especially when I set up my 'Pre-War US soldier' display (Combat Armor,Helmet Both 100%) and the Pre-War skinned Assault Rifle on the shelf next to the fridge, my Intact Garden Gnome shrine, and my teddy bears on my bed, as well as putting a Lying cong. style book on the desk, a tele in the corner of the desk next to the filing cabinet, Pre-War Hat on the desk, and Pre-War skinned 10mm pistol on my desk. It becomes home sweet home.

I too think they all, while do not svck, come close. Pre-war house? Do you know how many times I've kicked that tricycle only to have it go richocheting around the room, destroying my displays, or even worse, whacked Jericho with it and he was hurt for a while....

I choose the Love Theme on most characters. The bed is right there. There's extra reading placed in your office. You get a big selection of sunglasses and other eyewear. And pre-war hats. Your drug nest gets a major boost in supplies. My other characters usually pile up the bed with pre-war money.

My current character however, cannot afford any themes.

I have pre-war theme in my megaton house because the other themes for the megaton house are crap.

Haven't tried themes in tenpenny, will see it on my evil playthrough. Quick question, if I let the ghouls in so I can get the mask can I still live there?

I use the explorer theme. I have lots of weapons nicely arranged on the picnic table; I use cutting boards to cover the gaps in the table. I also throw out all of the junk and replace it with my own stuff.

After having them all I prefer to display my stuff, like Fisto!, Lincoln's item's, Tunnel Snake outfit, Eulogy Jones' Suit, Ledoux's Hockey Mask, Button's Wig, Pint-Sized Slasher Mask........anything I think is cool.

I kept my Megaton house themeless. Partly because I like having a lot of space and partly because there is a large flaw with each of the themes (I'm not going into detail).

I like the Pre-War (love all the food and the tricycle although it does fly around a lot) and the Love Machine best. Although the problem with the Love Machine theme is the bed is on the floor and Charon and co. tromp all over it with their dirty boots, etc :stare: It's a very bad design.

Agreed, it was in a really silly place.

My followers always end up on the table with the Pre War theme. :/

Ha! When we enter the Megaton house Charon often lands next to the lockers right by the door. So in the Love Machine that means he stands in the big tree and yesterday, (I currently have the Pre War theme) he sent the gnome flying across the room. I always drag the tricycle into an out of the way place because if one of the followers doesn't send it flying, I end up knocking that somewhere myself. I also think Beth has stuffed too many things into the house; but I like it better than having it too empty.

For my Megaton House, I went with the Pre-War theme. Great stuff, and it generally feels like a normal home. The food all lined up on the shelves is cool, too.

However, with my Tenpenny Tower suite, I chose the Science theme... or was it Vault? Can't remember (haven't been on since either Monday or the early hours of yesterday). I wanted something that felt kind of futuristic, and made me feel like I've got access to all kinds of gizmos and gadgets.

I flirted with the Love Machine theme a little, and I liked it, for the most part... except from that damn bed. It kept getting in the way.

Tenpenny Tower's Pre-War theme disappointed me, sadly. Or, rather, I couldn't stand the random bath tub in the middle of the room. Really? C'mon.... I really just with there was a legit bathroom in the first place. <_<

Same here. It's colorful. And happy. I can imagine my wasteland sweetheart (whoever she turns out to be) puttering around the place dusting and baking muffins, while our little one happily pedals around on his/her tricycle.

Of course, since I support equal opportunity, I can spend some days puttering around baking muffins while said sweetheart wanders around the wastes splattering muties and stealing their stuff.

Mostly I use Pre-War as well, although that tricycle always has to go somewhere else. Either upstairs in the spare room or between the locker and the workbench. Out of the way.
If I want a change I opt for Love Machine, only because I've a mod that fills in the hole upstairs with a sheet of glass, for more room. So, I put the bed up there. Unfortunately I forgot the pillows, so they are usually mini roadblocks downstairs, worse than that tricycle <_<

I actually don't have anything at the moment. Wadsworth is not impressed, but that may have more to do with the fact that I have prevented him going up the stairs anymore. I have my collections arranged just so. If anyone knocks them over...:stare:

I like each and every “theme” offered. When I’m playing a baddy, I kindof like the Vault theme for the extra storage by-the-door.

When I'm living in Megaton I don't use a theme.....I decorate the place with Lincoln memorabilia and unique weapons that I'm not currently using and OA weapons glitched into the real-world. When in TT I get the Vault theme for the extra table and locker.

So far, the only themes i have tried are the raider theme, the prewar theme, and the Love theme.
My favorite is the love theme, because 1. the bed is right there without haveing to walk up any stairs or anything, and 2. most of my characters are usually alcholics... :sadvaultboy:

I choose the science theme because all the other themes make me feel a bit exposed or something, and I like all the computers, and monitors laying around. I thought about the vault theme but I personally think the science theme looks like a much better version of it. My evil characters choose the Raider theme. For a good character though, it would be really hard for the raider theme to make sense.

In Tenpenny Tower, I'd go for the Vault theme for the aforementioned extra storage. Somebody wanna tell me why the hell is my suite the only one that doesn't have its own tub? Also, a privacy screen around the john would be nice.
In Megaton, it's Pre-War. I usually take the food off the shelves, put it away in the fridge and use the space for my souvenirs. Same thing with the crap upstairs, except I sell that. I mean, how many cups and glasses does one guy seriously need?
