I pre-ordered it because:

- I played Oblivion, and loved it
- I played Fallout 3, and loved it
- I played Skyrim, and loved it

When a game developer has such a solid track record, and I know that I really enjoy their style of games, I really don't need to see very much in terms of gameplay and I certainly don't need to read reviews from today's video game "journalists" in order to know that I'm going to enjoy that developer's next game.

I calculated that if i need to buy some stuff November, i run out of cash for Fallout 4. So i pre-ordered it and paid full price to local gamestop. This is just theoretical calculation that can change. So even if i don't need new purchases November. I hope so. I can have 60 euros or more in my bank account sitting there and waiting for more desperate times.

1. As a Amazon Prime member, the shipping is free and it will arrive on Nov 10.

2. My household streams a lot of videos. I didn't feel like using up 28 GB worth of data allocation when shipping is free. I also get a perk poster with physical copy.

3. I play on the PC. Mods will allow me to play this game for years, like I'm doing now with Skyrim, FO3, and FONV.

I pre ordered because I wanted the season pass bundle price, £56.99 for the PC version and digital season pass.
As the game is £35.99 on Amazon UK with no option to buy the season pass, and the digital season pass is £24.99 on its own on steam.

So I got it from game.co.uk for £56.99 which makes the digital season pass £21 not a massive saving but add the £1.35 of game points it also earns me its over a £5 quid making the season pass under £20. I normally end up getting the expansions this just bundles it all up for me.

Add that it's my wife's money, because it's released the same month as my birthday, and the bundle makes it the gift that keeps on giving... Win win...

Believe it or not I like to collect things. To wear a pipboy? WOULD BE AMAZING! Yes I bought the Pipboy Edition. First off it's Fallout 4. All the collectibles that come with it looks amazing.

EDIT: To answer your question ( apologies ). I believe people would buy it prior to any kind of real footage that shows enough gameplay to gather an opinion is because the trust. Bethesda's games are amazing and have always been amazing so the trust is there for this game. I trust that they'll provide what they say, and provide many days of enjoyment and adventure.

Cuz I save money and if the game is anything like Bethesda has put out before I'm not gonna hate it.

I pre-ordered the pip-boy edition SOLELY because I figured if any of the versions of the game were likely to come with "The Making of Fallout 4" DVD, it would be that one. So far, none of them have said they're coming with it, so I'm kind of in despair, but still, that's why I did it.

When I played Fallout 3 for the first time I hated it. I knew little about how to play a game like this. I never went to Megaton and instead went to the Super Duper Mart and then to the first metro tunnel. I got killed, A LOT! Then the character got hung up in a hole and I couldn't get him to move. In frustration I called a friend who explained a few key points to me, my gaming life changed. Over the next 7 years I kept coming back to the game over and over.

I know that Fallout 4 will give me HOURS upon HOURS of quality play time. I know now how to play BGS games, and their games are the only ones that can hold my fascination and lose hours and days inside a world just looking and exploring. They allow me freedom to be whomever I choose to be regardless of the backstory they give the character. It seems what I head canon works inside the world and allows for a different experience each time I play. When I play, I am there, I am in the game, it is me that is hunting mutants, killing raiders, and getting the crap scared out of me by ghouls. I always have goosebumps when I play, and even now the anticipation of playing gives me goosebumps!

Bring on November 10!!

I love Bethesda Game Studios games. It's really that simple. I've loved Bethesda and Todd Howard since The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, which was my first experience with the company, truth be told.

I've never been let down by a game from them sense, and have easily soaked 150+ hours into each of their games and DLC.

Because the games i spend the most hours playing in recent years and getting the most enjoyment from by far, are Bethesda ones.

I know some hipsters look down on it, and I rarely pre-order. But...

The school I teach at has Veteran's day off, while my kid's school and my wife do not. Let's face it, with eight hours to myself on the 11th I'm going to be playing Fallout 4. Might as well pre-order now so I can pre-load it and save myself four hours of thumb twiddling on the 11th.

I pre-ordered when I learned that a Gamestop opened up at the mall a black away from my place. If I run, I can be home and playing Fallout 4 in ~5 minutes.

Bethesda has never disappointed me. In fact, they have always impressed me and have more than earned my business.

I'm so excited for this game I've also got the art book and collector's edition game guide on pre-order, and I never use game guides.

I were tempted, but I didn't. I wanna wait for a few reviews first and well ... major stress testing. :D Tho I have faith that it will be good.

I don't care so much for "special editions" and as far as I can see there are no preorder bonuses (ingame stuff) that would make it worth my while and it doesn't matter to me whether I get to play on release day or a month later, even if I'm still excited. :)

I pre-ordered early on so that I knew I'd have a copy reserved and also for the perk poster.

Also, the gamestop around the corner from my house will be doing a midnight release and they usually have free stuff that they give away during those events.

When the Pipboy Edition sold out the first three times I said I wasn't going to pre-order. There was no point. Then I got an email from GMG with a 25% discount code and figured I'd preorder for something like $46. Then I read on here that the Pipboy Editions were available on Beth's store so I pre-ordered that too. Because I like cool stuff.

Because I was going to buy it no matter what any review said about it. If the reviews had said, "Surprise, when you start a new game it's just a still-shot of someone's poop," I would have bought it to see this for myself. I'm a long time fan of Bethesda games going back to 1996 and I know they're riddled with bugs of varying seriousness from "eh, you might not even notice it," (my experience with FO3) all the way to "it CTD's randomly every 15 minutes or so," (my experience with Daggerfall).

Since I'm fairly sure it won't be a still-shot of excrement, and most likely in at least a semi-playable state at release, I'm confident I'll enjoy it.

Also, I am often at odds with reviewers anyways.

Wow, I just had an Oh Crap! moment. I knew I had Pre-ordered the Pip Boy edition, but did not remember where. Lucky I found the email and figured that out.

So, why did I Pre-Order? So I could get the Pip Boy Edition.

Because I didn't want to go to the store and have it be sold out. Why else would you preorder?

Because all the anti-preorder activists convinced me to, and I was going to buy it anyway. BGS have not let me down before.

It's easier to pre order digitally than go out and buy a physical copy. I'm not really in to all the special editions but whatever floats your boat. If the rumours are true about pre loading and playing at the stroke of midnight then that's great. Bring on the 10th!

Why did I preorder it?

Because, i'll be playing it on its release.

You see, I got the preorder for XBox One with pass.

I don't know about you, but as for me, I'm excited to be playing this awesome game when it comes out and start wasting raiders.

Kudos to Bethesda for this killer game.
