Why does Bethesda like 11s so much

Post » Mon Aug 29, 2011 8:06 pm

You're right. I don't "appriciate" it, because "appriciate" isn't a word.

Hey men, do not be a English Teacher, that type of "correction" is very awful in every forum. (And even prohibited in some of them)
In-Topic: It's just a date, there's nothing to comment about it, just complain about how far it is... :sadvaultboy:

I'm not saying it does. I'm saying it doesn't have to.

Sorry, your post confused me a bit.

Bethesda set the release date to 11-11-11 because they can.
People replace lightbulbs because they can.
People like to dance because they can.
I like to jump in a pile of leaves. Why? Because I can.

What's the matter with 11-11-11? Want it to be 12-5-11?

Its a special date for Australians/New Zealanders and the British (I think). The 11/11 is Remembrance Day were we stop for one minute at the 11th hour on the 11/11 to remember the ones fallen in WW1(and the end of WW1) and later in the other wars to fight for what are we doing now.

One date. One hundred years. What do you not get? Are you really that dumb?

11-10-11 happens once every 100 years as well. Sorry, did you have a point?

Yeah, they have Remembrance Day in Canada too. I think in the US its called Veterans Day (Thats a worse name because its more important to honor the people who actually died and the ones who lived).

You have got to be kidding me! Its the only time in 100 years when there are six numbers all of them the same! 12 12 12 is not nearly as significant. Thats 3 numbers all the same. 11 11 11 is six!

You never had a point at all too. You just created a thread with a question, not even a complain or anything, just a question with no other answer than "Good for Marketing Date". So it's silly to go trolling people.

There is no more good dates after 11-11-11 yea theres 12-12-12 but thats two different digits 11-11-11 11:11,11 AM/PM will be the last date with that many 1's for a very long time.
There should be a celebration like Mardi Gras... Exept a bit lower on the craze chain...Think about it there was a 9-9-9 but thats three numbers where 11-11-11 is six.
I kind of want to wait till 11:11 11-11-11 to buy Skyrim (Yea i know thats waiting an extra hour or so to get it but it would be cool).

If this is confusing to readers... I probably can't explain it any other way...

Maybe they look at it as 6 1's instead of 3 11's

Maybe they though of it as 2 111's instead of 6 1's.

i.e. you have no reason.

umm noooo? The thread topic is just a bit dumb. I think you already know why they chose it and making a thread about it is a bit unnecessary.

Its a memorable date, that's why its coming on 11/11/11. It just sound a lot better saying Skyrim - coming out on 11/11/11! Than something like Skyrim - coming out on 12/04/11!

What's so important about 11-11-11, and what does it have to do with Skyrim? That's the day the game's being released, duh!

My logic is flawless.

Sigh... If you had bothered to read my earlier posts you would've noted that I mentioned that this particular date is the only one that can have only one number in all 6 or 7 letters. You cannot have 22.22.22, or 33.33.33. You can only have 11.11.11 or 11.11.111 and so on. And yes, it only happens once every a hundred years. Now do you get what I'm saying you genius?
