Why does Dragonbone svck...?

Post » Tue Apr 16, 2013 4:34 pm

Unless it was changed recently and I didn't see it. Why is it that Dragonbone armor is weaker than Daedric?

Seems kind of pointless to have Dragon at 100 smithing if it's weaker than Daedric at 90...

I think the weapons are stronger, I'm pretty sure they are, but not armor?

Because it's easier to get.

The armor is lighter than Daedric, and once you reach armor cap, which is fairly simple with Smithing and one or two perks in heavy armor, Dragonbone is just as powerful as Daedric armor.

I personally believe it is and should be the 2nd tier as it's paired with a light set and can be accessed from the light side of the tree. I also believe that Dragonscale should be the 2nd tier as well if it isn't.

Then why not just make Daedric Lv.100 and Dragon 90. Makes more sense that way. And even still, Dragonbone weapons are stronger than Daedric

Probably because they made Dragonbone have both light and heavy armor.

Also because Dragonscale armor is the highest-grade light armor you can make or get, outside of DLC armors (not sure if any of those surpass it.)

Catch 22- where do we put that perk? level 100, past glass, or switch it with Daedric, and forcing light-armor players to smith up the heavy armor side of the tree? Or lower the stats of Daedric? No matter what you do, someone's gonna be unhappy.
