Why does everyone here seem to praise the New Vegas quests?

I always hear a lot of users here talking about how awesome the quests in New Vegas are, but I actually don't think I have come across any outlandishly awesome ones. A lot of them have more choices than say, Fallout 3 which is awesome, but the ones I have done all seem fairly simplistic or ordinary.

Most of them are either...

-Talk to somebody in a Faction, go find someone and deliver a message for him/her
-Talk to somebody in a Faction, go find someone and kill them (or talk them down)
-Talk to somebody in a Faction, go find some piece of equipment for him/her

I haven't done all the quests though and was wondering, what are the most interesting?

The only quest I have found absolutely awesome so far was that unmarked Vault 11 quest (that I found while doing a 'fetch this item' quest for the BOS).
Oh and sort of the one with the ghouls and nightkin in the REPCON(?) place.

Any quest suggestions?

You make the quest sound like that, the same could go for Fallout 3 quest. Many of the side quest in New Vegas are small quest and little favors, but there is a good amount of real side quest as well, if not the same amount as Fallout 3 and with the addition of smaller side quest, there is plenty to do. There is a scientist in Camp McCarren that is hiring anyone to help in investigating a vault. A good quest that one is. It's not about how long it takes to complete it, or the enemies you fight in New Vegas quest, it's the excellent dialogue and story in it that makes it good. The things you do actually matter in the end.

It's the fact that most quests have many various and dynamic choices that you can make, each with it's own unique consequences. They are very well-written and the major ones can make a huge impact on the area in the ending slides (which are also fantastically done).
