So guys, the last few months have been an absolute nightmare for me. I take a look at the last 2 months, and here's whats happened: my best friend since we were 4 got shot and was killed, one of my closest friends and my mother were both diagnosed with cancer and both of their tumors have been detected to be malignant, my girlfriend's left me, and I've completely lost me sense of smell to boot. Before that, I thought life was going just fine! How does everything go to hell so quickly and at the same time? I'd just like someone to talk to me because it seems like no one else is out there and this is one of the last places to turn to, it seems.

"The night is always darkest before the day." I keep that in mind whenever the times are tough.

Ouch. I know what it's like to feel like the whole world is crashing down around you, though not through your particular set of circumstances(with the exception of cancer which is highly prevalent in my family). I'm sorry these terrible things have happened to you, just know that eventually, maybe not now or even soon, but eventually things will start to get better, and always know there are people out there that care about you. Just stay strong and please don't do anything rash.

Probability, if everything's going fine the more likely it is to get worse. The opposite also applies. The worse it's going the more likely it is to eventually get better.

Not to mention subjective nature of it. I mean no matter how rich or poor you are or anything your going to have good and bad moments. So moving up or down the ladder doesn't necessarily ever make it worse or better, humans are always trying to improve their lot in life.

holy crap man. I am really sorry! If you really need to talk then just PM me. Seriously! I know how you feel. I remember when I was having such a good day with my girlfriend and I got a text from my dad saying my mom got into a car accident. It freaked the crap out of me. She is still alive, and it is NOTHING compared to what is happening to you, so I can only imagine how you feel. I'm really sorry dude. I really hope everything turns out to be ok. I'm glad you trust us enough to tell us all of this.

Besides an overly weak sense of smell to which I have always had . . . that's a bummer man. I am really sorry to hear that. Bad stuff does seem to come in groups, and life really does have a tendency to crap on us from time to time. All I can offer is my sincere best regards and hope that stuff turns around for both your mother and your friend. I dealt with a tumor a few years back, and it was quite frightening. Luckily mine was a "benign" one, and was removed without any recurrence thus far. I wouldn't wish it on anybody(somewhat lie). But yes, truly sorry, jokes aside.
