Alcatraz speaks throughout the 'Be The Weapon' but I've played the game up until the level where you have to infiltrate the CryNet lab to examine the deep layers of the suit and I haven't heard Alcatraz say a single word.

I have no doubt his vocal chords were busted too, and he was hungover at the start of the game.

The suit is the only thing keeping him alive, although I doubt it can replicate speech too.

I'm pretty sure it's capable of simulating speech (more than just speech, mind you). As you will probably find out at the end of the game...

Well the nanosuit seems to be doing alot of talking, almost too much talking.

He also likes to pretend he knows a lot of science and stuff.

Also the Ceph are blind, the reason people can detect you is that he says"Cloaking activated".
