After all, Bruckheimer is on the Zenimax board of directors. ;-)

Who?

Jerry Bruckheimer, the moneyman behind all the braindead blockbusters Michael Bay and others with questionable (or misused) talents direct.

Yeah well he also produced Black Hawk Down. Probably the only war type movie I can watch in the modern era besides FMJ and Saving Private Ryan.

At least he had the decency to use Ridley Scott. BHD offers the best depiction of urban warfare to date (imo), but as a movie, it isn't anything really special and has some (unintentional or producer induced?) cheesiness. You can always tell when a movie is produced by JB - no matter who directs it, you can see and hear the Bruckheimer stamp everywhere.

You didn't like The Thin Red Line?

I'll bet The Asylum could push out a Fallout or Elder movie in a month or two.

For all we know, there could very well be a project already in development.

After all, Bruckheimer is on the Zenimax board of directors. ;-)

So a Fallout movie directed by Michael Bay might already be in the works? :ahhh:

Uh oh! That darn FEV..

Anyway a show would be way better. 14-16 episodes a season.

Season 1: FO1.
Season 2: FO2.
Season 3: based on FO3.
Season 4: NV.

Only crap thing is all new casts... so maybe FO1 and just continue on from there with VD, BoS, NCR rise to power, Enclave, all the way up to FO2, then after FO2 and BoS NCR conflict, eventually leading up to NV.

That is like.. 5 seasons. I would watch, if on Starz or HBO, for the ultraviolence.

Would you want the Vault Dweller, Chosen One, Warrior, Lone Wanderer and Courier played by some Hollywood pretty boy? I don't like that idea. I don't want the Vault Dweller forever associated with Zac Efron, Justin Bieber or God only knows who they would get to play the part.

A TV series would be interesting as long as it isn't about the main protagonists of the Fallout series. If they are going to base them around them then have unknown people play the part.

Nope, no teeny bop actor.

Which is why I prefer series and if say people were behind it like Deadwood or Spartacus, I would imagine it would be solid. I almost prefer the production and creative team behind Deadwood, but either or would be top notch. It does kind of fit a Sam Raimi kinda mold though. And I guess Bruce Campbell could be in it...

Hell yeah, Bruce Campbell is the bomb. I remember from a while back there was another "What if Fallout was a movie?" thread, and I posted an idea for a TV show, now I want to find it and read what I said.

Edit: Here's what I posted:

I agree with Gab on how they need to avoid clichés. Fallout's ending was a right hook out of nowhere, with the Vault Dweller being exiled, even though he saved Vault 13. In my opinion, AMC would need to take up the idea of a TV show, seeing as they have some amazing shows (Walking Dead, Breaking Bad).

The plot should follow something like Savage suggested, (a more fit example would be Heroes), where the characters don't directly interact, but they are involved somewhat, like two main characters each know someone, but they don't know each other directly. Even if the story didn't follow the multiple story format, it could become something like Goosebumps/Are You Afraid of the Dark, where each episode is a separate story, or a story arch may be two or three episodes, it could be called Fallout: Chapters or something.

Also, the shows intro would be pretty cool for an anthology series, the narrator could talk about how the Great War and how the world became what it became, and say something along the lines of:

"The wasteland is a harsh mistress, eating up the souls of the innocent, and letting evil rain. Though the Wasteland has known heroes, shaping America to their will, raiders still wreck chaos, sadistic factions still enslave and kill many. Many of the affected wish for these hardships to not come to them, bu sometimes they do, because America has entered a new chapter, a chapter of grief and sorrow, where happiness may shine for only those who care to let it's rays through the clouds." Cue the creaking of a wooden door, as a faceless person enters a tunnel, the camera floats through to an unmarked Vault door that rolls aside revealing the title card.

I have often asked for a Ghoul hunting character we come across in the wasteland named Ash and he uses his Boomstick and a power fist. Voiced by Bruce Campbell.

What would have been great for New Vegas, an Elvis Character played by Bruce Campbell. (Bubba Ho Tep funny movie)

How about books or a graphic novel.

How many good video game based movies have there been? none. Actually the closest thing to a faithful video game adaptation is Uwe Boll's Postal, it's stupid, violent and over the top, just like the game. Not even Uwe Boll could screw Postal up.

If it were a TV show it should just be very fireflyesque. The main character and his rag-tag band of misfits eeking out a living by staying on the fringe of 'civilization'. They don't want to be restricted by any authority figures and complete anarchy would make earning a living really difficult so they forge a path of least resistance between the two.

There would be episodes focused around encounters with the various factions and possibly finding themselves stuck in the middle of a clash between them, but not fighting for either side. Sort of a wild west vibe except with retrofuturistic technology.

Though with REvil they had to completely overhaul it since the games are such a mess.
A complete overhaul? They killed the series by giving Alice super freaking powers

Wesker looked like a poof and Chris lost his musclely hulk build yada yada yada... The first Res Film was good but the rest were crap

Shia as the vault dweller, BOS being awesome and look like robots in disguise (oh wait ..), explosions every 10 minutes.. juvenile attempts at humor, veiled racism and sixism... and to top it of super models playing important female characters but having the acting ability of a peanut..

AMC's Walking Dead is the highest grossing cable TV show of all time.

Is that true?! Over Breaking Bad and Mad Men?! Geeeeezus. That show is complete crap and a total blemish on the comic series.

Gab is becoming Arya/Kyle Jr. They made a South Park episode about them, where everything sounded like crap to Stan.

On the plus side, hopefully one day they will discover alcohol, and my advice is to begin drinking heavily.

1. Nope. They and I are very different in our views on Bethesda and Fallout 3.
2. That's exaggerating.
3. So you want me to become an alcoholic? :(
