WHY do dogs bark?

We're all familiar with the fact that anything using a dog/wolf skeleton in Oblivion has this one idle animation where it sits down, wags its tail, and barks. What I cannot figure though, is WHY they do that. I checked the animation tab in the CS and there is no sign of this. I even checked the idle kf file for the skeleton and there's no sign of this animation there either. The barking sound seems linked to this animation too, because even if I make a new creature with absolutely no sounds associated with it, it will still make the barking sound along with that animation, as long as it's using the dog skeleton. It's fine for a dog to bark, but I would prefer other creatures that use the same skeleton (wolves, foxes, durzogs, daedric hounds), not do that. Does anyone know where this animation is hiding and how to get rid of it?

They bark because they're really trying to annoy you until you burst into flames and burn in Oblivion. They're so ANNOYING!
