Why am I doing so much damage?

Post » Fri Jan 15, 2016 8:25 pm

I was roaming the wastes slaying enemies when after a while I noticed I was doing too much damage per hit (melee). So I finally stopped and looked at my weapons to see what kind of damage they were doing and everything was in the thousands!

Has anyone else had this happen? I can't for the life of me figure out why all of my damage on my weapons is suddenly so high, my chinese officers sword used to only do 105 damage, but now it does 2 thousand, my gauss rifle does 11,000.

Note: I have not eaten any food, chems or any other such items. The only thing that has happened between now and before my damage increase was that I waited 14 days in game for some stuff to respawn.

You have ascended into godhood?

Does everything you pick up do similar (proportionate) amounts of damage? Is your armor the same? If not, try unequipping everything, placing it into storage, save, quit, reload.

I think I figured it out, I think my furious chinese officer's sword is the culprit. After I have slashed a few things with it the damage on all my other weapons (including the sword) goes up significantly. After I equip something else it seems the damage continues for a short period and then returns to normal. So I gues it is bugged and it is applying the damage multiplier to everything I use.
