Just went to the Palace of Kings to deliver Jarl Balgruuf's axe to Ulfric. On the way out I noticed an NPC standing by the door. So I went up to him and found out it was the farmer going to Windhelm to join the Stormcloaks. After a year and a half of wandering the roads of Skyrim, this guy finally made it to Windhelm. Perhaps if he had asked for directions the trip would not have taken so long!

3. The Wu Tang clan is not to be [censored] with and
4. Men do not need directions or instructions for assembly.

The funny part about the farmer is that he is not a Nord.

Because you're not a man if you can't get there.

The farmer in question was not a Nord, then again Imperials are not known to ask for directions either.
