Just a bit of confusion/curiosity. I remember, back in the day, being able to hit the screenshot button, and Oblivion & Fallout 3 would save a file to my harddrive, and a little " saved" message would pop up on the screen.

But since the last couple times I've installed and played the games over the past year or two, it just doesn't do that. Print Screen just saves a copy in memory, and you have to go to Paint to paste & save it.


Is this caused by moving from Win XP to Win 7? Or is it a change in DX9/10/11? Or is it not even known?


Like I said, just curious.

(yes, screenshots are turned on in the .ini; ; yeah, I have the games installed outside the Programs folder; yeah, I know I can just get FRAPS.... I'm still curious why the built-in function doesn't work anymore )

Running any AA? That interferes with screenshots.....

Hmm, interesting. I generally have Oblivion's prefs set to HDR/no AA, but I do have OBGE running. (Haven't turned on external AA with the ATI tools, either. Guess it could also be a change in graphics drivers over the years. /ponder)
