Why don't the Thalmor recognize Talos?

Post » Mon Mar 11, 2013 8:59 am

The Three In One, the Apotheosis of Talos.
Doesn't it have something to do with a rebel, a king, and a witness? Cause I'm still not following what its supposed to be about.

When humans praying another human its just wrong, all humans are sinners and humans doesnt deserve to become Gods because unlike real God humans doing evil things. Sheogorath isnt human for example he only using human disguise

Thalmor is probably evil and racistic and Talos buff is overpowered but still it doesnt mean that we have to regonize Talos as God.

If people regonize Talos means later they are likely to regonize other humans as "Gods", Talos didnt created humans or something he was born as human. Talos is not creator so he doesnt deserves being God for other people.

It's not more esoteric than the various reallife creation myths and beliefs.

Explain that please. I never understood the enatiomorph.

It is a recipe for a symbolic emulation of the interplay between Anu, Padomay and Nirni. The King, the Rebel and the Lover/Observer. Two are interchangeable from one another (ES duality concept), while the third is witness or observer. Really esoteric god-head mantling stuff.

Except that Talos is arguably important. It's best that people believe in a man-turned-god, than allow the Altmer to unravel the world.

Congratulations, you've just described the Thalmor.
See how similar Talos and Thalmor are? :)

I actually disregard it. Don't care if it's cannon, I don't like the concept, I think it's dumb, and over-anolyzed garbage an Forum Fodder for people to spin their [censored]ing wheels about video game character existentialism.

Nope. Talos isn't evil nor racist.

The Thalmor are.

Considering that you've done absolutely nothing to show how the two are similar other than claim Talos was "racist" without backing it up, not really.

Talos was pretty prejudice against Orcs, denying them the same citizenship they briefly had under the Akaviri Potentates.

"Hatred of their kind," was the exact wording, I believe.

Talos binds them to Nirn, he keeps the Wheel going therefore they cannot ascend to what they were before.

They don't recognize him because he is in their way when they try to ascend.

One of the biggest reasons is that Talos makes a mockery of elven superiority.

Yeah, makes sense.

They spend most of their existence trying to make their way back to divinity, and then some human comes along and does it in a life-time.

Zurin...Zurin Arctus? Talos's Battlemage? The Underking?
Yep. Many people just see tiber/Hjalti when they hear talos. I think wulfhart and zurin should get some fame too.
...How can Talos be made of him, or partially of him, if they lived in the same time, were presumably allies, and the Underkings ghost still present way after Talos's...Ascension, or whatever you wanna call it?
...God, people have been reading MK's BS again.
MK's BS? Wut? Whats so BS? He is the real loremaster of elder scrolls.

I don't think he actually enslaved anyone. At least there's nothing I found in lore supporting that claim.
