Why is everyone rooting for fallout 4? Skyrim>FO

Skyrim needed more dlcs, and fallout is boring. The atmosphere is hardly unique from each game. At least with the elder scrolls, we visit different provinces and see different landscapes

Its not boring. But it's not Skyrim all the same, so I'm with you. I couldn't care less about Fallout 4 right now.

My personal taste is obviously the superior choice! Only Thalmor scum would disagree with me!

Because Fallout is unique in it's own way.

I like ES, but have only rented Fallout 3.

Not particularly interested in Fallout. And I'm a little perturbed at how the sequels appears to be an FPS when the original ones clearly weren't.

Go post this in the Fallout forums. I dare you.

Well thanks for letting us know

Fallout has fans too and is a good franchise, how would you feel if they made two Fallouts in a row and we didn't get a TES for ten years?

The originals wherent owned by Bethesda. So technically Bethesda has stayed true to Fallout since their aqusition.

Plus turn based games can go live on portable consoles and IPhones.

I'm rooting for Fallout 4 to be the game that Bethesda uses to improve on the elements of Skyrim they botched that both TES and Fallout share, such as Speech. Then, when the pre-pro team switches to work on the next TES game, they can implement those improvements into it, and once the production team gets involved again, they can fix the gameplay elements of that Skyrim messed up on that are unique to TES, like magic.

They better be writing for this game.

Could never get into Fallout like I did with the Elder Scrolls. I don't really care much for the series. Would personally rather see more Skyrim DLC. The next Fallout game is likely to be on the next generation consoles so it's not like I'll get to play it any time soon anyway.

They're no more of a FPS than any of the TES games. Just different types of weapons. The basic approach is the same in all of these games, which are FPS/RPG hybrids. And you don't even have to play them as an FPS either, both series have a third person view.

I'll keep this civilized:

Fallout has... feels. Elder's Scrolls is soulless. It's fun, but soulless.

In fact, yesterday Legion Assassins caught me on my rear. I had to lure the bastards into Deathclaw territories, while backpedaling like a bat out of hell and laying landmines to slow down the Deathclaws. With well placed sniper shots, I took down the wounded Deathclaws. So I sneaked back into Deathclaw territories, strip the Assassins for their gear and sell them. And that night, I walked into in Vegas and spent that caps on beer, babes and blackjack...

The last time I played Skyrim... I made a Dragonbone Mace. I killed a lot of bears, and shieldbashed a Vampire to death.

Can't people like both?

Yes, I am dissapointed that Skyrim Support has basically been discontinued so soon, but this only means that gamesas is moving full-force on another great series that has plenty of fans. Plus, with each title they produce, they tend to get better with world and character design (even if they start dumbing down streamlining stuff for no apparant reason.)

i just want some sort of an ENDING for skyrim. E.g. kicking the thalmor out of skyrim is my biggest wish. Modders anyone?

besides people have different tastes. Fallout can be better for some people who like to roam around the ruins of USA instead of slaughtering bunnies in skyrim

If Obsidian is helping out with the writing I'm all for it, but if it's Bethesda's shallow world filled with radiant quests I'll be sad and rather they waste their time doing bug fixes for Skyrim.

Regardless, Skyrim's DLC was on a good track... that crashed and ended it's amazing run horribly killing all passengers on board.

Am I the only one who see's this as slightly flame baitish?
I mean, trying to assert a personal opinion as fact, while giving a uniquely lame "What I like is better than that because it's different" reason, it just reeks of "I wanna poke this bee hive and see how many come flying out" stigma.

You don't want to kick the Solitude guards out?

Nostalgic wannabe hipsters love to rage at Bethesda for apparently "butchering" the Fallout series. At least TES fans are pleased with what they get most of the time.

Yeah, if I describe one scenario in detail and vaguely reference another one I can make it look like something is more interesting too. Teachers used to do it all the time in Primary school to get kids to do maths.
