Does Europe even have Vaults? That would decide whether or not there would ever be a game in Europe right then and there. I have been reading some of your guy's comments and I can see I may be coming off more harsh than I meant to. I still stand by my point. But let me add a little clarification. I think it would be nice to VISIT Europe or ANY other country in a DLC for a Fallout game. It would also be cool to see an off-shoot of the Fallout series such as New Vegas set in a European country like Ireland. But the only game I can see that would be appropriate for a Fallout game NOT in America would be one placed in China. I see this as acceptable because China was one of the main reasons the world is what it is. That being said, personally, all those Chinese names would really start to piss me off since they are hard to pronounce. Therefore the odds of a game placed in China will probably not happen either.
I believe that the Vault Tek vaults were inspired by real life Cold War bunkers like Area B in Mt. Weather and Site R in Raven Rock. AND the US wasn't the only country building Cold War bunkers. So in an alternate universe there is no reason to believe that Vault Tek was the only ones building vaults.
No, Europe does not have vaults.
However, Europe did survive the war in some way, both Moriarty and Tenpenny came form Europe. Though, Europe is suggested to be so messed up, and such a massive dump, that Tenpenny left it willingly to go to the C.W., as it was considered a better place to find his fortune then Europe.
He was kind of right... up until my bullet crashed through his cranium.
Who cares about a Fallout in Europe? I would love a Fallout in China.
A lot of you want to see more diversity of Factions and groups. I want this as well. As I finished my original post at the bottom I suggested the developers create a game based in a Southern State. This could add a whole new dimension of people, factions, cultures, tribes, and religions. There could even be a cult of Robert E. Lee (Yes I would join it). The Swamps of Louisiana and the city of New Orleans would be a sight to see! Or even a cowboy theme in Texas would be cool (who doesn't want to ride a mutated horse?) It gets a little repetitive visiting Yankee states, but hey that's just me. Plus if we did do one in Texas, that could lead to a DLC that takes us to Mexico. Opposite that, if we did one in a more Northern state we could have a DLC that takes us to Canada. Any of these ideas I feel are possibilities we should pursue. Worry about a Fallout in Europe AFTER we finish exploring North America where the radiation and fallout is at it's worst!
Hey I'm just giving examples. I think New Orleans area of Louisiana would be a great Fallout, mutated swamp creatures, crazy Cajuns, Bourbon street in the City of New Orleans, think about it! Mutated Gator-men, nuff said. Texas would be cool in a apocalyptic cowboy way. I'm just sick of Yankee states. Move Fallout to the South for once! Maybe it's because you're a Yankee yourself. You simply don't like the areas I suggested out of Yankee ignorance.
I'm just Johnny Reb doin' what Johnny Reb does best! Hahaha
Ehhhhhh,
Fallout - American Southwest.
Fallout 2 - American Southwest.
Fallout Tactics - American Midwest
Fallout 3 - American Zoo
Fallout NV - American Southwest
Fallout 4 - American Northeast.
I think I know what you are getting at but as you also pointed out, we haven't seen any Fallout games in the South east, just the south West. Which is a cool place too, but totally different from the east. Also as a part time resident of North California, a Fallout game placed in the dead ash-turned Redwood forest would be cool to see as well. Whether it is placed in Oregon or North California, I don't really care. It would be cool to see. Super-intelligent Mutated Sasquatch, NOW THAT is something I want to see! If it was placed around San Francisco, that would be cool.
There is nothing quite like American self-centeredness. It just waffes across the origin post of this thread. And then America wonders why the world 'hates' them. We don't 'hate' you because of your freedom we 'hate' you because you are all too often insecure dikes.
I don't think the entire rest of the world hates America, and I think the idea that its 'us' versus 'them' just fuels the whole self-centeredness thing.
The dudes trollololing you, and you just bit the bait. Gotta love dem generalizations about a country of 300 million people, based on a post made by an obvious troll.
I don't see this thread going anywhere productive, especially with such a highly antagonistic opening post to set the tone...
