Why do forum moderators promote bashing of game?

Post » Sat Dec 05, 2015 7:08 am

i have had objective topics (with positive undertones) locked out within 20 minutes in this forum and on steam.

deductive reasoning would conclude that the moderators in both forums are not only being apathetic to the pointless flame threads but are in fact promoting them

i come to these forums looking for objective feedback on the game and productive discussion about the game, but both sites seem to be flooded with flame threads with gratuitous and repetitive and sometimes just bogus complaints on the game

the moderators will let these flame threads just grow in abundance (100s of replies) and never do anything about it; hell i think half the times i've even seen a post by a moderator was when they showed up to shutdown my thread, which again would be nothing but objective, positive feedback

so go ahead and ban me moderators that dont do squat except ban anything productive, i've given up on these lame forums anyways

You had one (1) topic that was locked and it started with complaining about complaining/critique. If you think that's objective, I suggest consulting a dictionary.

inb4 Pluto crashes into the thread

Even people with terrible opinions and wild criticism are allowed a voice.... If they follow forum rules.
If a person has valid reasons to hate the game, it does NOT mean they are flaming trolls. (which is something I see people assuming over and over again, here.)

We can't see every problem, and that is why there is a report button.

And yes, there are members that are only here to cause problems, and we try to limit their activity when we can. Unfortunately, this also causes perfectly fine threads to get locked in the process.
We can continue the discussion in this thread: http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1565196-freedom-of-speech/
