Me too. They're clever, the way some people are "street smart". I don't think TES highlights this, though., not as much as it should be.
Goblins should be able to climb, hide in small places, and then use these advantages to figure out ways to trick us. In Oblivion, all they do is stand around, and then attack us if they notice us.
Same as most other enemy NPC's, really. In some tabletop games of my past, goblins actually start with more intelligence than average humans.
There were some really talented goblin smiths and wizards and warriors in the tabletops!
I've have actually very much wondered about why there are so many locked chests in various dungeons, but very few keys.
That doesn't make any sense.
especially since they mostly all respawn! Who's putting stuff in these chests, and then hiding the keys?
