TES dwarves =/= Tolkien Dwarves which is where most people get their definition of them.

And they died but their weaposn and armor were built well enough to stand the test of time and never break

They disappeared. No one knows what happened to them, really. Scholars speculate while others are superstitious.

The whole stereotypical dwarf thing was a tiny bit of a joke (I didnt know the original Dwemer weren't that way, good to know though. I also didn't know about their demise which makes me a little sad at myself because I like to stay as knowledgeable as I can.) since there seems to be a "adjust character height" option and Nords somewhat look like a taller less.. dwarfy dwarf.

I just wanted to be Oghren :sadvaultboy:

But they had a very nice looking Mesopotamian beard and look.

Best thing you could do is create a Nord, set his body slider to the largest, and customize his beard. If you're getting Skyrim for the PC, and assuming we have the same console commands, you can even make him shorter by using the 'setscale' command.

deep elves, no confirmed cause of extinction, nevertheless extinct. (minus one yargum bargon).
i wish there were standard short fat mead drinking dwarves in the elder scrolls games, would gladly trade in the altmer for em.
in fact we should start a petition now for a "standard dwarf" race and the extinction of the high elves for tes:6 Elswyr.

Perhaps the next elder scrolls game they'll bring back the Dwermer into the world like they brought back the dragons. NEW DWERMERKIIN! NOW WITH YOUR FAVORITE DWARF SHOUTS LIKE; "NOT THE BEARD!!" or "Give me your name, horse-master, and I shall give you mine!" and of course, "Nobody tosses a dwarf!".

The dwemer are elves, and arent really what we know as dwarves (they arent short) oh and they are extinct.

Yep. Dwemer=Deep Elves, Dwarf was a descruption of the giants they shared the land with IIRC.

Jimmy, dragons have always been in Elder Scrolls, it's just that we never saw them, save for a skeleton of one in Battlespire, and one in Redguard.

Also, bringing back the dwemer would be taking a giant steaming pile of poo on what has been established for nothing more than an ass pull.

Yep.
They seemed rather tall in Tribunal, if the ghost is anything to judge from.

Like I said, they're roughly the height of an Imperial.

In addition too, Talos, he's a giant ball of corpus disease, with his mind slipping each and every day. He's as much dwemer at this point as an orsimer is to an aldmer.

I also think that Dwarves break the game balance by being so short. Hence why they haven't been implemented.

Edit: Or not? Seems like they're not so short.

There have been tonnes of threads on this topic. :spotted owl:

The dwemer (or dwarves) are extinct, and have been for a very long time... Besides, TES being TES, dwarves are elves. :flamethrower:

Because Luagar2 has been missing from the forums for some time, and I believe he has said that document is a bit out of date.
