No, I surely hope this house fella is nothing like Hugh Lauri, is not a people-hating-but-sensitive-when-no-one's-looking kind of guy. I hope NV house isn't suffering from a chronic leg pain or any chronic pain, I hope he doesn't have a couple of NPCs his age who are constantly worried about his self destructive qualities, like he's a [censored] teenager, and whatever he accomplishes is a sign of worry for them. I hope he pays for his own food, I hope he doesn't have two male henchmen and one female, and I sure as hell hope his place isn't filled with Med-X bottles.
I hope he is nothing like House MD because that dude doesn't own that name, it's just a [censored] name. I hope he isn't even a doctor. I hope it's a totally new character that happen to have a similar name to a popular other character, and any relation between the two is in the imagination of the beholder.
If I wanted a story filled with other people's characters from other medias, I'd write it myself.

You forgot the X-wife who's also his boss, who both secretly still love each other but they're divorce and house can't stand that his x-wife is his boss. And yes no solving cases!
"Well he's suffering from a rare virus that 0.0000001% of the population dies from a year and all these rare viruses health problems only happen in my hospital and nobody on my staff knows what is wrong with him". I hate that show!
